IEOM Industry Solutions sessions will showcase the industrial case studies and their impacts of the industrial solutions using IE \/ OM tools and techniques (lean, six sigma, FMEA, simulation, design of experiments, optimization, TOC, PLM, CAE, statistical analysis, safety, reliability, etc). IEOM 2018 Washington DC Conference will have a dedicated session for the Industry Solutions where distinguished practitioners provide their presentations including their experiences and journey to be successful. Thirty six featured speakers will be from various part of the world to address industrial challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Each speaker needs to submit a title of the talk, abstract and a short bio as well as power point presentation prior to the conference. All will be included in the IEOM 2018 Conference proceedings.<\/p>\n

Prof. Bob Mathur has been teaching post-graduate, Master level courses in Project Management and Project Controls at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) as an adjunct professor for the past eight years. He teaches these classes in addition to his full-time employment as a Senior Manager at Phillips 66 Refinery in New Jersey where he is responsible for concept to execution of capital projects for the Refinery. In both the courses Prof. Mathur, therefore, integrates his vast practical experience in engineering and management experience from India, Germany, Holland, England and the USA. He also brings the students a good mix of theory of academics and practice of corporate culture. Prof. Mathur\u2019s teaching style is extensively interactive with the students where he shares with them the practical knowledge and experience he has gained in the last 39 years from various countries. He updates his syllabus continuously to ensure that the use of the latest technologies and facilities including smart phones and the associate apps; IPad etc. becomes a part of his teachings. Prof. Mathur is a Chemical Engineer with a MS from Germany. He is currently a Senior Manager for the Phillips 66 Refinery in New Jersey where he is responsible for all engineering estimates for all Capital Projects as well as Project Management and field execution for these projects. He is an active member of the AACE International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering).\u00a0 Prof. Mathur has been the President of the NJ Chapter of this National body for three consecutive years and was the Chairman of the Education Board of the New Jersey Chapter of the AACE.\u00a0 He was the recipient of the Order of the Engineer Award for 1997 from Canada. Bob has been in the Strathmore Who\u2019s Who (USA) for two consecutive years in 1997-98 and 1998-99, and was selected in the American Registry of Outstanding Professionals for year 2001-02. He has also been a member of the Board of Executives (Education) of AACE International at Morgantown, West Virginia.<\/p>\n

He received Ph.D. from The George Washington University\u2019s School of Business, working under the leadership of Dr. Elliott Jaques on dynamic theories in organizational science. Donald M. Reimer is an adjunct faculty at the A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical Engineering in College of Engineering at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Michigan. He coordinates the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Engineering Skills. Mr. Reimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Detroit\/Mercy. He is a Certified Management Consultant with over 35 years of experience in working with closely-held businesses. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategic management, corporate entrepreneurship and innovation for engineers. Mr. Reimer is a member of the Lawrence Tech Kern Campus Committee, Coordinator of the Lawrence Tech Innovation Encounter. He is faculty Advisor of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs\u2019 Organization. Mr. Reimer serves as a Kern Fellow of The Kern Family Foundation, Co-Direct of the Coleman Fellows Program, member of the National Collegiate Entrepreneurs\u2019 Organization Faculty Advisory Council and is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education.<\/p>\n

He has operated his own consulting company \u2013 The Small Business Strategy Group for 23 years. He published numerous articles on small business, entrepreneurship and strategic thinking. He has received several awards and recognition by local, state and federal agencies for his work in entrepreneurship and minority business development. Mr. Reimer served as member of the Minority Economic Development Committee of New Detroit. Mr. Reimer is member of the Small Business Advisory Council of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Reimer is a member of Advisory Board of the Milwaukee Junction Small Business Assistance Center. He is also a member of the Applied Innovation Alliance. Mr. Reimer serves as a KEEN Fellow for The Kern Family Foundation and is a member of United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
