{"id":131,"date":"2017-04-15T11:03:55","date_gmt":"2017-04-15T11:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ieomsociety.org\/ieom2018\/?page_id=131"},"modified":"2020-08-23T14:04:08","modified_gmt":"2020-08-23T14:04:08","slug":"undergraduate-paper-competition","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ieomsociety.org\/harare2020\/undergraduate-paper-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Undergraduate Paper Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Undergraduate Student Paper Competition<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Sponsored by: SIEMENS<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The 2020 IEOM Student Paper Competition sponsored by SIEMENS<\/strong> will recognize outstanding papers in the field of industrial engineering and operations management written by student(s).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The submitter must me student or recent graduate<\/li>\n<li>Papers can be industry projects as part of a course or co-op\/internship, or research projects done at the academic institution.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty and\/or an industry member may serve as an advisor on a project, but the work should primarily be done by the student(s).<\/li>\n<li>The paper must be written by the student(s) with only minor outside editorial assistance. One or more advisors may appear as co-authors of a paper, but the student must be the \u2018first author\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The paper must be presented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nDeadline for submission of papers: September 30, 2020<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Paper Guidelines:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAuthors must follow the IEOM paper guidelines (under Authors menu) since the winning papers will be published in the conference proceedings.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Submission:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nEach paper must be submitted online: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=ITx8cpK\">https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=ITx8cpK<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Judging:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nA group of academics \/ professionals will serve as judge.
