IEOM Industry Solutions sessions will showcase the industrial case studies and their impacts of the industrial solutions using IE \/ OM tools and techniques (lean, six sigma, FMEA, simulation, design of experiments, optimization, TOC, PLM, CAE, statistical analysis, safety, reliability, etc). IEOM 2019 Bangkok Conference will have a dedicated session for the Industry Solutions where distinguished practitioners provide their presentations including their experiences and journey to be successful. Twenty Four featured speakers will be from various part of the world to address industrial challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Each speaker needs to submit a title of the talk, abstract and a short bio as well as power point presentation prior to the conference. All will be included in the IEOM 2019 Conference proceedings.<\/p>\n

He studied at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy), at the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and got his PhD at the University of Stuttgart (Germany). He was Visiting Scholar at the Excellence Center in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Chiang Mai University (Thailand) and at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts (USA). His main research interests are in, supply chain management, Industry 4.0, lean construction, lean manufacturing and production planning and control in MTO and ETO enterprises.<\/p>\n

Manuel Woschank is a Postdoc Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Economic and Business Management, Chair of Industrial Logistics at the University of Leoben. Dr. Woschank holds a Diploma degree in Industrial Management and a Master Degree in International Supply Management from the University of Applied Sciences FH JOANNEUM, Austria and a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Latvia, Latvia. He has published international journal and conference papers and has conducted research projects with voestalpine AG, Stahl Judenburg \u2013 GMH Gruppe, Knapp AG, SSI Schaefer, MAGNA International Europe GmbH, Hoerbiger Kompressortechnik Holding GmbH, voestalpine Boehler Aerospace GmbH & Co KG, etc. His research interests include Logistics Systems Engineering, Logistics Process Optimization, Production Planning and Control Systems and Behavioral Decision Making Theory. Sakgasem Ramingwong is an Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering at Chiang Mai University, Thailand.\u00a0 His research interests are in industrial logistics and supply chain management.<\/p>\n

Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong graduated with B.Eng., M.Eng. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, respectively. She has over 20 years\u2019 experience in teaching, research and industrial consultation. Dr Tippayawong has worked with more than 300 SMEs as well as a number of large public and private enterprises. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Industrial Engineering, Chiang Mai University. Her research focuses on logistics & supply chain, industrial engineering & management. She has received many major grants, including those from Thai Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Education, and European Horizon 2020 MSCA-RISE.<\/p>\n

Erwin Rauch is an Assistant Professor in Manufacturing Technology and Systems at Free University of Bolzano, Italy. He received his BSc in Logistics and Production Engineering from the Free University in Bolzano (Italy). He also holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and a Master in Business Administration from the TUM Business School. Since 2007, he worked in a Management Consultancy as a Consultant for Lean management. Later he obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. Since 2014, he is Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bolzano and in 2017 Visiting Researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA (USA). Further, he is Head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0 application at the Free University of Bolzano. His research interests include industry 4.0, axiomatic design, agile and reconfigurable manufacturing systems as well as optimization in SMEs.<\/p>\n

Thomas Stecher is currently a graduate student in the double degree Master program Industrial Mechanical Engineering at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) and the Otto von Guericke Universit\u00e4t Magdeburg (Germany). His research interests are in sustainability in logistics and the optimization of supply chains as well as in the development of Industry 4.0 self-assessment systems and their evaluation.<\/p>\n

Marco Unterhofer holds a double degree Master in Industrial Mechanical Engineering from the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) and the Otto von Guericke Universit\u00e4t Magdeburg (Germany). Since 2018, he is a management consultant in a medium sized Italian consulting company and works on the implementation of lean management concepts and the digital transformation in industry and healthcare.<\/p>\n

From 1998 he worked as research project manager for a US company and for the BMW Group in Munich. In 2004, he was appointed to the post of a Professor for Manufacturing Systems and Technology at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. In 2008, he accepted a call of the Free University of Bolzano. Since 2010, Professor Matt holds the Chair of Manufacturing Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and is the Head of Fraunhofer Italia IEC. Research interests include the field related in industrial engineering and completed various research projects focusing continuous improvement programs.<\/p>\n

Shahrul Kamaruddin is an Associate Professor, of Mechanical Engineering Department from Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He received the B.Eng. from University of Strathclyde, M.Sc. degree and PhD from University of Birmingham. Various past experiences with manufacturing industries from different industries especially in the field of industrial engineering and focusing on the manufacturing systems and related field.<\/p>\n

Ishak Abdul Azid is Professor of Mechanical Section from Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Spanish Institute. He received the B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. from University of Wales. Mr. Lawrance Seseni is a PhD Candidate in Operations Management at the University of Johannesburg. He is currently working at the same University at the faculty\/college of Business and Economics where he serves as a Contract Lecturer in the department of Business Management and a contract lecturer in the same institution but at the Centre of Small Business Development (CSBD). His masters study was on Quality Management in Furniture manufacturing SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises). He serves in different boards as a board of director, one of the boards he serves is IBASA YC (Institution of Business Advisers South Africa Youth Chapter). He is now serving as a board of director with a portfolio of co-secretary of the IBASA YC (Institution of Business Advisers South Africa Youth Charter). He is also serving as a Co-Faculty Adviser in the student organization called ENACTU University of Johannesburg. He served at Enactus University of Johannesburg since 2012 holding different portfolios. His interest in research is Knowledge Management in SMEs, Service and Product Quality within SMMEs. In the year 2017 he became a member of the University of Johannesburg IEOM student chapter where he currently serves as a Director of Finance.<\/p>\n
