Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must<br \/>\nbe presented at the IEOM Dubai Conference. The paper will be judged based on<br \/>\nthe technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award<br \/>\ncertificates. The winning awards will be given at the IEOM Dubai Conference<br \/>\naward event.<\/p>\n<p>The IEOM Lean Six Sigma Competition provides an opportunity<br \/>\nfor undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as recent graduates to show<br \/>\nand demonstrate their skills, knowledge and technical capabilities on lean six<br \/>\nsigma to solve current challenging problems. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>General Rules and Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submissions could be as individuals or a team of 2-3 members.<\/li>\n<li>All participants should be current undergraduate, postgraduate or recent graduate students.<\/li>\n<li>Finalist teams will be invited to participate in a live competition in the 10th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) to take place in the Hyatt Regency Dubai Hotel, UAE, March 10-12, 2020.<\/li>\n<li>The lean six sigma case study must be solved completely by the team members.<\/li>\n<li>Submission must be within the deadlines and no late submissions will be accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>Phase 1\u2013 ONLINE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consists of a technical case study that requires the use of lean and six sigma knowledge and tools to be analyzed and solved.<\/li>\n<li>The case study will be sent to the team once the registration is completed.<\/li>\n<li>It is free for participants to join the first phase virtual competition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>Phase 2 \u2013 Dubai<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A live phase at the 10th IEOM Annual Conference at Hyatt Regency Dubai on March 10, 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Consists of a technical case that needs to be solved, analyzed and presented.<\/li>\n<li>The case study description will be given to the finalist teams at the conference.<\/li>\n<li>Final phase teams must register and pay the registration fee and attend the conference for the final case study solution and presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>AWARDS \/ Trophies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies and certificates will be<br \/>\nprovided. <\/p>\n<p>Awards will be presented at the 10th International<br \/>\nConference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) awards<br \/>\ndinner on March 12, 2020.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>Competition<br \/>\nChairs\/Coordinators: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dr. Saso Krstovski, <\/strong><a>Adjunct Professor in Industrial Engineering Lawrence Technology University (skrstovsk@ltu.edu)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Hayder Zghair, <\/strong>Adjunct Professor in Industrial Engineering Program, A.
