Ali R. Kaylan is a professor emeritus of Industrial Engineering at Bogazici University in Istanbul. After completing his undergraduate studies in 1973 in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Bogazici University, he pursued his graduate studies in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Syracuse University in the U.S.A. He has received his M.S. degree in 1975 and Ph.D. in 1979 both from the same University. He joined the Industrial Engineering Department of Bogazici University in 1979. He was promoted to full professorship in 1990. He served as the founding Chair of the Engineering and Technology Management graduate program at Bogazici University for 18 years.<\/p>\n

He has served as the Industrial Engineering Department Chair and the Information Technology Director of the Bogazici University. He was elected as the Engineering Dean for two terms during 2000-2006. During that period, he was a member of the Steering Committee of the Turkish Engineering Deans Council. He was elected as the General Secretary of this Council for the period December 2003 \u2013 May 2006. Being a founder member of the Turkish Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs, he participates as an evaluator in the accreditation process of Industrial Engineering Programs in Turkey.<\/p>\n

Prof. Kaylan has also been active in KalDer, the Turkish Quality Society. He was the President of this Society during 2008-2010.\u00a0 Besides, during his membership in the Executive Committee for 12 years, he has served as the Chairman of the National Quality Award Steering Committee.<\/p>\n

Dr. Aras has been actively involved in ABET accreditation process at Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University as the coordinator of the Industrial Engineering Department. He has been a Program Evaluator of the Industrial Engineering Programs on M\u00dcDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs) since 2009, and served as a team chair\/co-chair since 2018. He has been a member of M\u00dcDEK since 2016 and recently been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the M\u00dcDEK Executive Board.<\/p>\n

Necati Aras graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Industrial Engineering at Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University in 1993 with a B.Sc. degree. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1994 and 1993, respectively, from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the same University. During 1994-2000 period, he worked for six years in the private sector first as a quality assurance engineer in a white goods manufacturing company and then in a training and consulting company.He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University during 2000-2002. He joined the Department of Industrial Engineering in 2003 and has been a faculty member since then. He worked as a visiting researcher at Boston College during 2013-2014 academic year. He was the chair of the department from January 2018 to September 2019, and vice provost of Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University from March 2019 to December 2020. His current research interests include formulating and solving optimization models in different areas including supply chain, facility location, logistics and distribution. His most recent area of research focuses on the use of data analytics methods for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of metaheuristic solution approaches. He has published more than 60 papers in scholarly journals.<\/p>\n

Prof. Tekinay has held posts of academic administration as Dean of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Vice President for Research and Development, and Rector. Prior to her tenure in Istanbul and Sharjah the last decade, she lived in the United States where she served as Program Director at the US National Science Foundation; she was tenured faculty at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Director of NJ Center for Wireless Telecommunications. In addition to her core area of research and teaching wireless communication networks and related areas, she has been working in and teaching different aspects of Higher Education and Engineering Education, such as diversity, multi-disciplinarity, professional identity, technology based learning platforms, and most recently, virtualization. She is the elected 2018-2022 Chair of the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) and a Board Member of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI). Before starting her academic career, she was a researcher at Bell Laboratories. Prof. Tekinay holds the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University, Virginia, and the MS and BS degrees in Electrical-Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University, and high school diploma from Robert College,\u00a0Istanbul.<\/p>\n

Erhan Erkut received his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University in 1980, and his PhD from the University of Florida in 1986. While teaching at the University of Alberta School of Business he received 10 teaching awards, including the \u201cINFORMS Teaching of Management Science Practice Award\u201d and the \u201c3M Teaching Fellowship,\u201d 5 practice awards from the Canadian Operational Research Society, and published over 50 refereed journal articles. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Erkut also managed several industrial projects, established a technology transfer unit called Centre for Excellence in Operations and served as the Founding Editor of INFORMS Transactions in Education.<\/p>\n

After returning to Turkey in 2005, Dr. Erkut served as the Dean of Bilkent\u2019s Faculty of Business during 2005-2007 and as the Founding President of Ozyegin University during 2008-2013. Since 2014 he serves as the Vice President of MEF University, in charge of academic programs, student life, industrial and international relations. More recently he has been quite active in entrepreneurship and workplace skills development for high school and university students. He has helped in the professional development of thousands of students through a 21st century skills camp with the support of Mehmet Zorlu Foundation and MEF University. Dr. Erkut authored three books in Turkish, one on evaluating universities for candidates (As you Select a University), one on Turkish entrepreneurs (Here are the Gazelles), and the most recent one on the upcoming disruption in education (The System is Hopeless, Education is on You).<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Berna Dengiz is the dean of Engineering Faculty at Ba\u015fkent University. \u00a0A graduate of Gazi University, she completed graduate study at Middle East Technical University, and in 1987 earned a doctorate in industrial engineering at Gazi University. In 1994, under a scholarship awarded by the NATO-B2 program, Dr. Dengiz conducted research in the US at the University of Pittsburgh. During the years 1996-2002, as a visiting professor at Pittsburgh University and Auburn University, conducted research under the sponsorship of T\u00dcB\u0130TAK, and the US National Science Foundation of USA. She began working in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering at Ba\u015fkent University in 2005, and currently serves as dean.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dengiz has conducted research in fields such as complex systems simulation, simulation optimization, meta heuristic optimization of large-scale systems, and industrial applications using deep learning, with funding from national and international institutions such as the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (T\u00dcB\u0130TAK), Government Planning Center of T\u00fcrkiye (DPT), GU and Ba\u015fkent University BAP, and the National Science Foundation of USA. She has published, nationally and internationally, a total of around 160 research articles, conference reports, and book chapters, and has been cited in over 2600 works.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dengiz has served in various capacities on numerous national and international committees and boards, such as Advisor to the Central Bank of Turkey for General Directorate for Information Management, Statistics and Economic Monitoring, as a member of the steering committee for the Council of Engineering Deans, and as a member of the TUB\u0130TAK Engineering Research Group Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n

For her contributions to the fields of operations research and management science, and her research on topics concerning women engineers, in 2011 she received the Women in Operations Research and Management Science (WORMS) award by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). In addition, she was awarded \u201cLeading Woman in Science\u201d by the Turkish Association of University Women, and received the \u201cWoman of Science\u201d award by the International Federation of Business and Professional Women.<\/p>\n

Halil Kulluk is the Founder and Chairman of Intekno Group of Companies. He received his B.Sc. in Production Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham, England, and his M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). During 1984-1986 he worked as a Research Engineer and \u00a0System Scientist in the Robotics Institute of CMU. \u00a0Later, he was appointed Director of Flexible Manufacturing Laboratory and became the co-principal investigator of \u201cFactory of the Future for Small and Medium Sized Manufacturers\u201d project which was supported by Ben Franklin Partnership of Pennsylvania. In 1988, he founded the Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Application Center (METAC) within the Robotics Institute and served as the Director of the Center for five years. At METAC, he was actively involved in the creation and application of technology transfer models between the university and industry in the fields of robotics, computer integrated manufacturing, artificial intelligence and expert systems. He was also appointed Adjunct Professor by the Department of Mechanical Engineering where he taught in the area of manufacturing sciences. In 1987, Kulluk founded International Technology & Knowledge Company, Inc. (Intekno) in Pittsburgh. This spin-off company from Carnegie Mellon University acted as the foundation for Intekno Technology Transfer Corporation which was later started by Kulluk, in Istanbul, as a result of growing activities between the U.S.A. and Turkey. Hence, these two start-ups created the initial pillars for the formation of Intekno Group. At present, Intekno Group conducts business activities between U.S.A, Europe, Middle East and Turkey via the main fields of engineering & technology transfer \u2013 including construction and technical services, international trade, and venture investments. Halil Kulluk has been an Executive Advisor for PNC Bank of USA for activities related to the US Exim Bank in Turkey between 1999 – 2019 and since 2011 he has been Executive Advisor of Parsons Corporation in Turkey.\u00a0 He was chairman of the Advisory Board for AIESEC Istanbul branch and the Founding Advisory Board Member of Rumi Research and Application Center at Selcuk University in Konya, Turkey. In August 2007, he was elected to the Advisory Board of the Executive Entrepreneurship Program supported by Qatar Science and Technology Park and Carnegie Mellon University in Doha, Qatar. He is also the Immediate Past Chairman of Business Advisory Council for South Eastern Europe (BACSEE).\u00a0 Since 1997 he has been a member of DE\u0130K (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey) and chairman of several country specific business councils. Currently, he is the chairman of DEIK\u2019s Turkey \u2013 Finland Business Council. He speaks English and French fluently. He is married and has two children.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Funda Sivrikaya Serifoglu is currently working as the advisor to the President of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Aydin University, as a professional Adler coach, as a social entrepreneur, as a leader in woman leadership projects, and as a voluntary mentor in several social programs. She is a founding member of the Women Studies Unit at the Higher Education Council of Turkey. She also serves as a team leader in institutional evaluation and institutional accreditation programs of the Turkey Higher Education Quality Council.<\/p>\n

She is the founding president of Duzce Technopark and the founding rector of Duzce University, Turkey, which is ranked among the 50 most innovative and entrepreunerial universities of Turkey. The university is founded on the principle to utilize the scientific knowledge in project partnerships with stakeholders to support the sustainable development of the region and to contribute to the welfare of the people living therein. It has been awarded the European Entrepreunership Award<\/em> in May 2011 with one such project.<\/p>\n

Prof.Dr. Sivrikaya Serifoglu served as the project coordinator of the pioneering strategic planning project in Turkey for sustainable development at the province level in Duzce. In addition, she led various pioneering projects and programs including, but not limited to education, woman leadership, accountability, endangered languages, social security, health, disadvantaged people, and so on.<\/p>\n

Prof.Dr. Sivrikaya Serifoglu is also the founding president of IWF Turkey, which is the Turkey chapter of International Women\u2019s Forum, a leading women leadership network with over 7000 members across six continents. She visited several European Union (EU) institutions as an invited guest by the European Parliament and the European Commision within the European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP<\/em>) in 2008. She was also invited to take part in the State Visitor Leadership Programme<\/em> of the American Government in 2010.<\/p>\n

Prof.Dr. Funda Sivrikaya Serifoglu received her B.S. (valedictorian) and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University, Turkey, and her M.S. degree in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, USA. She has publications in international and national scientific journals, and has also served as both an editor and a reviewer for scientific journals.<\/p>\n

She has been awarded Women Who Make A Difference Award<\/em> by International Women\u2019s Forum in 2015, International Caucasian Award<\/em> by the International Caucasian Association in 2018, and The Special Award<\/em> by the Women Who Shatter The Glass Ceiling Platform in 2018. Prof.Dr. Funda Sivrikaya Serifoglu is married and has a daughter and a son, of ages 29 and 23, respectively.<\/p>\n

Prof. Er\u00e7il has received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Mathematics from Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University in 1979, M.S. and PhD in Applied Math from Brown University in 1980 and 1983 respectively. She has then worked at General Research Laboratories for five years as senior research scientist and staff research scientist. She has been a faculty member and founding director of BUPAM Pattern Analysis and Machine Vision Laboratory at Bo\u011fazici University in 1988-2001 and has been a faculty member and founding director of VPALAB Computer vision and Pattern Analysis Laboratory at Sabanc\u0131 University in 2001-2013. Prof. Er\u00e7il has directed many international projects (Nato, FP4, Eureka, NSF, FP6, Nedo, FP7, Horizon 2020). She has been the founding president of TOTIAD \u2013 Turkish Pattern REcognition and Image Analysis Society and executive board member of IAPR, International Association of Pattern Recognition. Her work has received many awards including \u2018International Achievement award, Eureka Success story, Endeavor Entrepreneur, Technology award finalist, Veuve Clicquot high impact female entrepreneur of the year award \u2013 Turkish representative, First price in Machines and Accessories Production Technologies award, \u2018Turkey\u2019s female entrepreneur\u2019 award, \u2018Crystal Tree woman entrepreneur of the year\u2019 award, \u2018ANSIAD academician of the year\u2019 award, \u201cMicrosoft Woman leader in Information Technologies\u201d award, Selcuk Yasar \u201centrepreneurship, innovation\u201d award, \u2018EY Startup of the Year Award\u2019,\u00a0IWEC Foundation 2020 Business award, META Women in Tech award. Dr. Melsa Ararat, the founding director of Corporate Governance Forum of Turkey (CGFT) and a professor at Sabanci University School of Management, is a corporate governance (CG) expert with more than 20 years experience in CG reforms and practices, with emphasis on family controlled conglomerates and international joint ventures. She was a member of the CG Committee, which developed CG Principles issued by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey in 2003, and an advisor to S&P\u2019s Governance Services between 2004 and 2008. Currently a scholar of Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, she has a corporate background and has held senior management and board positions in Turkey, the Benelux, Singapore and Japan within Philips group prior to her academic career.<\/p>\n

Listed in Marquis Who\u2019s Who as an educator, Dr. Ararat\u2019s scholarly background is Management and Strategy. She is actively involved in policy work as a consultant to the World Bank Group since 2004. She is an academic member of ECGI (European Corporate Governance Institute), a member of NSFM (Network for Sustainable Financial Markets), an advisory member of UN PRI SSE (Principles of Responsible Investing-Sustainable Stock Exchanges), an advisory board member of CBI (Climate Bond Initiative) and an active member of ICGN (International Corporate Governance Network). She sits in ICGN\u2019s Awards Committee and Business Ethics Committee. Dr. Ararat is the director of Independent Women Directors Project and Business Against Domestic Violence Project in Turkey.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ararat\u2019s research and commentaries on CG and sustainable investing in Turkey are the most often cited. She coordinates IFC supported global EMCGN (Corporate Governance Emerging Markets Research Network), which brings together the leading scholars and practitioners since 2007 in support of CG reforms in emerging economies. Dr. Ararat also chairs the Academic Board of TKYD (Corporate Governance Association of Turkey).<\/p>\n

Dr. Ararat\u2019s specific expertise includes Sustainable Investing. She launched the CDP Climate Change Project in Turkey in 2009 and CDP Water Project in 2015. She authored Sustainable Investing in Turkey and Sustainable Investing in Key Emerging Markets in 2010 and assisted Borsa Istanbul in revitalising the Sustainability Index project prior to its launch in 2014. She leads the local analysts that assess sustainability performance of the firms included in the Index.<\/p>\n

Paula’s background is in electrical engineering (Kevin St., DIT, 1986). She has an MSc in Computer Science (DCU, 1996) and a Masters in Management Science from the Smurfit School of Business (UCD, 2005). Her PhD was in the field of Combinatorial Optimisation. Her PhD thesis was titled “The Ring Spur Assignment Problem”. Paula has considerable experience in both academia and industry. Prior to joining UCD she worked as a Software Developer with the ESB (Ireland’s semi-state electricity company), in Quality Assurance with DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) and in Business Planning and Management (an MIS role) with eir (Ireland’s former incumbent telco). She has also lectured in DCU. Paula was academic director of the Bachelor of Commerce (International) programme from 2013 – 2017. She is founder and chair of the EURO WISDOM Forum to promote, support, empower, and encourage the participation of all genders in Operations Research (OR) and Management Science (MS). OR&MS are advanced analytical techniques to model and solve challenging real world problems. EURO is the Association of European Operational Research Societies.<\/p>\n

Prof. Sanyal graduated from Bogazici University with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and continued her studies at Boston University on synthetic organic chemistry and received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry. Prof. Sanyal started her career as a research scientist in Amgen Inc., Thousand Oaks, California, where she gained extensive experience in medicinal chemistry. Since 2004, she is a faculty member at the Department of Chemistry at Bogazici University. Her current research interests focus on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, including targeted polymer drug conjugates. She has received L\u2019Oreal Turkey for Women in Science, Novartis Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry Drug Design, Promising Woman Entrepreneur of Turkey and Turkish National Academy of Sciences Young Investigator awards. Prof. Sanyal has been named one of the three Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative 2021 Global Science and Technology Pioneer Award fellows. She is an inventor or co-inventor of over 50 issued patents or pending applications. Since 2013, she is the director of the Center for Life Sciences and Technologies, an international center of excellence, at Bogazici University. Rana Sanyal is also the Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer of RS Research, a biotechnology start-up developing novel nanomedicines, established to enable preclinical research advance to the clinic.<\/p>\n

She is the Research Director of the European Supply Chain Forum’s FMCG Community. Z\u00fcmb\u00fcl’s research is broadly focused on multi-echelon inventory theory, retail operations and revenue management. Z\u00fcmb\u00fcl has conducted a large number of projects with industry mainly through Master students. Her research is published in leading journals (including Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, IISE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research<\/i>). Dr. Hamid R. Parsaei is an internationally recognized leader in the field of manufacturing automation, leadership, engineering education, additive manufacturing, economic and financial decision making, and project management with more than three decades of experience in academia. He is awarded as a fellow IISE, ASEE, SME and IEOM.<\/p>\n

Dr. Parsaei\u2019s leadership experience and accomplishments include serving as Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ.) He also served as the Director of Outreach and Accreditation and the Interim Chair of the Mechanical Engineering at TAMUQ while holding the rank of Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Prior to joining Texas A&M University, Dr. Parsaei served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Houston for 10 years and Director of Graduate Studies and Graduate Advisor for five years. He also served as Director of the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center\u2019s Gulf Coast Region from March 2001 to September 2005.<\/p>\n

Dr. Parsaei is highly regarded worldwide for his scholarship. He served as Area Editor, Methodology, and as an editorial board of The Engineering Economist from June 1990 until January 1995, and he was editor in chief of three international refereed archival journals. He currently serves as a member of the editorial boards and associate editor to over fifteen peer-refereed journals. He has been guest editor for several special issues of peer-reviewed archival journals, and has served as series editor to nine book series published by Wiley and Sons, CRC Press, Taylor and Francis, and several other publishing houses. His newest journal, Engineering Education Letters is a clear testament to Dr. Parsaei\u2019s dedication to engineering education.<\/p>\n

Dr. Parsaei has been principal and co-principal investigator on projects funded by NSF, Qatar Foundation, the US Department of Homeland Security, Texas Department of Transportation, Houston Transtar, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the National Institute of Safety and Health, among others, with total funding in excess of $24 million. He has authored or co-authored 26 archival books and over 280 refereed publications that appear in archival journals and conference proceedings.<\/p>\n

He has received several prestigious recognitions from IISE including, the Wellington Award (1993) from the Engineering Economy Division of the Institute for his original contributions to the field of engineering economics, Award of Merit in recognition of his service to the Engineering Economy Division during 1991\u20131992, the 2006 UPS Excellence Award for innovative development of programs directed to the development of women, minorities and people with disabilities within the field of industrial engineering. He garnered the 2016 George L. Smith Award and in 2018, he was honored with the Fred C. Crane Award for meritorious service to the IISE.<\/p>\n

Dr. Parsaei received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from Western Michigan University and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas and an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commissioner and Program Evaluator.<\/p>\n

Deji Badiru is the Dean and senior academic officer for the Graduate School of Engineering and Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).\u00a0 He is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all operations related to granting doctoral and master\u2019s degrees, professional continuing cyber education, and research and development programs.\u00a0 In his post-high-school days, Deji worked as a graphic artist for children television programs, as a writer and columnist for community newspapers, and as an accounts clerk.\u00a0 These are practical skills that he frequently uses, even today, in his administrative and professional duties.<\/p>\n

Deji Badiru was previously Professor and Head of Systems Engineering and Management at AFIT, Professor and Department Head of Industrial & Information Engineering at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and Professor of Industrial Engineering and Dean of University College at the University of Oklahoma, Norman.\u00a0 He is a registered professional engineer (PE), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.\u00a0 He holds BS in Industrial Engineering, MS in Mathematics, and MS in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida.\u00a0 His areas of interest include mathematical modeling, systems efficiency analysis, and high-tech product development.\u00a0 He is the author of over 30 books, 35 book chapters, 75 technical journal articles, 115 conference proceedings and presentations.\u00a0 He also has published 30 magazine articles and 20 editorials and periodicals.\u00a0 He is a member of several professional associations and scholastic honor societies.<\/p>\n

Deji Badiru has won several awards for his teaching, research, and professional accomplishments.\u00a0 He is the recipient of the 2009 Dayton Affiliate Society Council Award for Outstanding Scientists and Engineers in the Education category with a commendation from the 128th Senate of Ohio.\u00a0 He also won 2010 IIE Joint Publishers Book-of-the-Year Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers.\u00a0 He also won 2010 ASEE John Imhoff Award for his global contributions to Industrial Engineering Education, the 2011 Federal Employee of the Year Award in the Managerial Category from the International Public Management Association, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the 2012 Distinguished Engineering Alum Award from the University of Central Florida, and the 2012 Medallion Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers for his global contributions in the advancement of the profession. In February 2013, he was selected as a finalist for the Jefferson Science Fellows (JSF) program by the US National Academy of Sciences and the US Department of State. Prof. Badiru was the leader of the AFIT team that won the 2013 Air Force Organizational Excellence Award for Air University C3 (Cost Conscious Culture). His most recent award is the 2015 National Public Service Award at the overall US Air Force level.<\/p>\n

Deji Badiru has served as a consultant to several organizations around the world including Russia, Mexico, Taiwan, Nigeria, Ghana, and Canada.\u00a0 He has conducted customized training workshops for numerous organizations including Sony, AT&T, Seagate Technology, U.S. Air Force, Oklahoma Gas & Electric, Oklahoma Asphalt Pavement Association, Hitachi, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, and ExxonMobil.\u00a0 He holds a leadership certificate from the University Tennessee Leadership Institute.\u00a0 He has served as a Technical Project Reviewer, curriculum reviewer, and proposal reviewer for several organizations including The Third-World Network of Scientific Organizations, Italy, National Science Foundation, National Research Council, and the American Council on Education.\u00a0\u00a0 He is on the editorial and review boards of several technical journals and book publishers. Deji has also served as an Industrial Development Consultant to the United Nations Development Program.\u00a0 He is also a program evaluator for ABET, the international engineering and technology accreditation body.\u00a0 In 2011, Prof. Badiru led a research team to develop analytical models for Systems Engineering Research Efficiency (SEER) for the Air Force acquisitions integration office at the Pentagon.\u00a0 He has led a multi-year composite manufacturing collaborative research between the Air Force Institute of Technology and Wyle Aerospace Group.<\/p>\n

Deji Badiru has diverse areas of avocation.\u00a0 His professional accomplishments are coupled with his passion for writing about everyday events and interpersonal issues, especially those dealing with social responsibility.\u00a0 Outside of the academic realm, he writes motivational poems, editorials, and newspaper commentaries; as well as engaging in paintings and crafts. As a contribution to sparking the interest of kids in science and engineering, Deji runs the Physics of Soccer website (www.physicsofsoccer.com). He is the founder of the Association of Military Industrial Engineers (AMIE).\u00a0 He also runs ABICS Publications, through which he publishes non-technical guide books for home, work, and leisure. A prolific researcher and author, Deji espouses the spirit of sharing knowledge freely and widely, which is the reason he offers self-published guide books to make his publications affordable and accessible to the general public.<\/p>\n
