The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. The winning awards will be given at the IEOM Lisbon Conference award event.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Case study must be related to real-life applications<\/li>\n<li>Practitioners or academicians can join the competition<\/li>\n<li>Papers can be industry projects as part of a course or co-op\/internship, or research projects done at the academic institution.<\/li>\n<li>The paper must be presented at the IEOM Portugal Conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IEOM Competition Rubrics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall content: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Data analysis and results: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Presentation skills: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the topic \/ confident: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Answering questions: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Important Dates:<br \/>\nDeadline for submission of papers: June 15, 2023.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Paper Guidelines:<br \/>\nAuthors must follow the IEOM paper guidelines (under Authors menu) since the winning papers will be published in the conference proceedings.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Submission:<br \/>\nEach paper must be submitted online: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=BMNT4ql\">https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=BMNT4ql<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Judging:<br \/>\nA group of academics \/ professionals will serve as judge. Scoring rubrics will be used for both parts of the judging.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Winners:<br \/>\n1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive award certificates.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Papers will be indexed in EBSCO, Google Scholar and IEOM Index.<\/h3>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2295\" src=\"http:\/\/ieomsociety.org\/houston2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/live-flyer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1352\" height=\"750\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/index.ieomsociety.org\/\">https:\/\/index.ieomsociety.org\/<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><strong>IEOM Index includes the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>This unique database is dedicated to research and achievements in the \u201cIndustrial Engineering and Operations Management\u201d disciplines<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Each paper will have its unique DOI (Digital Object Identified) from CrossRef.<\/li>\n<li>Check all previous conference papers in the IEOM Index Publication Database Library &#8211; https:\/\/index.ieomsociety.org\/.<\/li>\n<li>IEOM Conference DOI &#8211; https:\/\/index.ieomsociety.org\/index.cfm\/conference\/list\/<\/li>\n<li>Conference Proceedings will be published with an ISBN in a soft form \u2013 OPEN ACCESS.<\/li>\n<li>All accepted papers will be published with an ISBN Number.<\/li>\n<li>All full papers submitted for conference proceedings will be evaluated using a double-blind review process and published electronically in proceedings with a DOI number.<\/li>\n<li>All approved full papers will be sent for indexation to world known databases:\n<ul>\n<li>CrossRef<\/li>\n<li>Google Scholar<\/li>\n<li>IEOM Index Online Library<\/li>\n<li>EBSCO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Four proceedings have DOIs for all papers.
