There are various levels of readiness of engineering graduates from various parts of the world. One of the main themes is how to reduce the readiness gap of engineering graduates around the world. The special focus is given to Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering including Engineering Management. Are the engineering graduates ready to take on the challenges of the current global economy? With the great success of Global Engineering Education Series of last IEOM conferences, IEOM Rome Conference will have a dedicated session for the 18th Global Engineering Education where distinguished speakers will discuss the readiness of engineering graduates for workforce around the world. He holds a PhD in Industrial Management and his scientific works have been published in indexed (WoS-Clarivate and Scopus) journals and presented in international conferences as wll. Nuno Costa got seven awards in international conferences and published five book chapters, and he has acting as reviewer for SCI and Scopus indexed journals and conferences. His Scopus h_index = 12. Research and teaching activities are developed in the Operations and Quality Management (in industry and healthcare) field, and are focused on Design and Analysis of Experiments (RSM and Taguchi methods), Statistical Quality Control, Acceptance Sampling, 6-Sigma and Lean Management. He also has acting as consultant and has implemented ISO 9000 quality management systems.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>8:20 am &#8211; 8:40 am (Tuesday, July 18)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00d6zg\u00fcr Erol \u2013 Istanbul Medipol University.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00d6zg\u00fcr Erol works as a faculty member and advisor for the Operations Research Society, a student group under the Industrial Engineering Department of Istanbul Medipol University. In addition to advising undergraduate capstone projects, she teaches various courses, including engineering management, systems analysis and design, business process analysis and design, and project management.<\/p>\n<p>She brings a variety of academic expertise and practical experience to her work, holding an MBA from Saint Joseph&#8217;s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s degrees in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. She spent more than ten years working in the professional field before entering academics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P\u0131nar \u00c7elik &#8212; Istanbul Medipol University<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>P\u0131nar \u00c7elik is an undergraduate student in Industrial Engineering\u00a0 at Istanbul Medipol University. Her teaching portfolio is broad, focusing on enterprise systems implementation (SAP and Oracle Applications) and derivatives of ERP data collection, ranging from business analytics to process mining. Additionally, she has extensive experience in academic curriculum development, serving as the head of her department&#8217;s teaching committee and acting as a liaison to the graduation projects unit. Her research interests include process mining and its practical applications, ERP-related issues, and DSS development. Since 2015, she has served as a member of the JITCAR Editorial Review Board. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Kedem-Yemini worked at a global clean-room fab build-up construction management company with major clients such as Intel, Tower Semiconductors, and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
