Capstone student design project team can showcase their engineering design project by submitting a summary of the project as an abstract or paper and present it. It should highlight problem solving, creative thinking, innovation, project planning, and teamwork through a challenging design and build project. Each submission must be presented. The presentation will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The submitter must be student or recent graduate and be part of the senior design project team.<\/li>\n<li>A summary of the senior design project must be prepared by the student(s) with only minor outside editorial assistance. One or more advisors may appear as co-authors, but the student must be the \u2018first author\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The design project must be presented virtually at the 2023 Manila Conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IEOM Competition Rubrics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall content: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Data analysis and results: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Presentation skills: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the topic \/ confident: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<li>Answering questions: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Important Dates<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>Deadline for submission: February 15, 2023.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAuthors must follow the IEOM guidelines.
