The Czech Republic is known as an industrial country, as well as a country with beautiful countryside and many national parks. The country is also well-known for its historical heritage, with numerous sites designated as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. Modern Czech society is fully integrated into the European Union and the modern world but keeps its rich historical traditions.
