Her PhD project focused on industrial cybersecurity. The project underlines humans\u2019 role in cybersecurity socio-technical systems, investigating in which part humans are a threat or an opportunity for industrial cybersecurity. Her recent projects involved computer vision techniques, conversational agents, and virtual reality to improve industrial production in the smart factory context. In 2022, she has worked on a vision-based automated quality inspection tool to detect defects on plastic. She is currently working on incorporating enabling technologies for Industry 4.0 from a positive human-machine collaboration perspective. Specifically she is implementing a conversation agent\u00a0 for operational and safety training in the smart factory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panel Speaker I<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Dr.-Ing. Professor Susana Duarte<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">School of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Lisboa, Portugal \u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Susana Duarte holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Presently she is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at School of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. She lectures several courses on topics related to industrial engineering including, production management, industrial management and strategy, industrial engineering, logistics, decision models, among others. She is a research member of UNIDEMI Research Center where develops their investigation in the area of lean manufacturing, green management, lean-green supply chain, and performance measurement systems. She has published scientific papers in several international refereed journals and international conference proceedings. She was awarded Excellence Award from Emerald Group Publishing, a Teaching Excellence Award from IEOM society and three awards from International Conferences. She is a member of the board of the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Engineering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panel Speaker II<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Valentina Bianchi<br \/><\/strong>DSP Manager in Amazon Logistic<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Valentina Bianchi is DSP Manager in Amazon Logistic, in her role she manages and coordinate delivery service providers who collaborate with Amazon Logistic. She studied at the Sapienza University in Rome and graduated in Management Engineering with Industrial Production Management option. Her interest is on integrated logistic process and production development, Resilience Engineering and his application in healthcare environment. After a short period in a Technology consultant company, she joined Johnson and Johnson Medical as Supply Chain Analyst and Demand Planner. In this role she has the opportunity to deepen supply chain and logistic processes and apply inventory management principles. Since 2016, he has been employed as Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Fazel obtained his Habilitation degree in Industrial Engineering at the TU Wien and his summa cum laude PhD in computer science from the University of Siegen, in the specialization of knowledge-based systems and knowledge management. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics from Univeristy of Siegen and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Tehran. Fazel is an interdisciplinary researcher conducting fundamental- and applied-oriented research at the intersection of AI, industrial engineering and production management. She is mainly responsible for the project management of European projects, support in the development and expansion of CVET offers, and development of didactic concepts. She studied pedagogical and educational science at the University of Klagenfurt (Austria) with a specialization on social and inclusive education (master\u2019s degree) and on professional education (master\u2019s degree). Currently, Ms. Pacher is conducting her PhD in the field of profiling competence profiles for European Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) curricula. During and after her studies, she gained work experience, e.g., as Head of educational programs and in different social public service enterprises as a social education worker. Since 2014, he is Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bolzano and in 2017 Visiting Researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA (USA). In 2020 she finished her doctoral degree on the topic of workplace requirements for the assembly personnel in the digital transformation. Her current research interest focuses on human-centred manufacturing and Industry 5.0, the digitization of manufacturing workplaces, and the sustainable design and operation of manufacturing systems.
