Dr. Erialdi Syahrial is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He had been appointed as a Visiting Researcher at Weber State University, Ogden, Utah, United States for research collaboration with Goddard School of Business and Economics. Dr. Erialdi Syahrial obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical-Industrial) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia and Master of Science (Manufacturing System Engineering) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia.<\/p>\n

Dr. Erialdi Syahrial was a section head, lead engineer and project leader at Research and Development (R&D) Department at PROTON, Malaysia\u2019s first national car manufacturing company. He worked in the R&D department, PROTON for 11 years and the main responsibility was associated with after-sales service and customer satisfaction. Dr. Erialdi Syahrial had also been appointed to perform after-sales service projects in United Kingdom, Italy, Korea, and Germany. He dealt with CEO, managing directors, customers, suppliers, and consultants to support after-sales service and customers. Then, he pursued his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Japan and graduated with a Doctoral degree in Engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. He stayed in Japan for almost 8 years.<\/p>\n

Dr. Erialdi Syahrial teaching, and research fields are focusing on Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Operation Management, Project Management, Research Methodology, Work Design\/Ergonomics, Logistic Management and Business Mathematics. He currently active with research and consultation as well as continuing looking for future collaboration with other universities and agencies.<\/p>\n

Dr. Erialdi Syahrial presented his research during the Annual Conference of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) in Florida, United States. He was also a session chairperson during the Asia Pacific Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) as well as he had been appointed as panel speaker and session chairperson during the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) in Dubai, UAE.<\/p>\n

Dr. Abdul Talib Bon is Professor of Technology Management in Department of Production and Operations Management, Faculty of Technology Management and Business at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.\u00a0 He has a PhD in Computer Science, which he obtained from the Universite de La Rochelle, France in the year 2008. His doctoral thesis was on topic Process Quality Improvement on Beltline Moulding Manufacturing. He studied Business Administration major in Quality Management at the master\u2019s level in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for which he was awarded the MBA in the year 1998. He\u2019s bachelor degree and diploma in Mechanical Engineering which his obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.\u00a0 He received his postgraduate certificate in Mechatronics and Robotics from Carlisle, United Kingdom in 1997. He is Managing Director of UTHM Teaching Factory and Manager of Centre for Technology (Furniture Innovation Technology) from 1 September 2016 and Head of Program Bachelor of Technology Management (Furniture Design and Manufacturing) with Honours from 2014 until now. Before this he was the Deputy Dean (Research and Development) at the Faculty of Technology Management and Business in the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia from 2008 until December 2011. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has had over 28 year experience of teaching in higher learning education. A major part of his teaching experience involves teaching mechanical engineering students in polytechnics.\u00a0 However, from the year 1999, he was given the opportunity to be jointed in the Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department. In this institute, he teaches engineering management and quality control at the under-graduate level. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has multidisciplinary research interests that encompass industrial engineering, quality management and production and operation management.\u00a0 His completed ten research grant projects include applications of forecasting in industries. His current research project is looking into developing process quality improvement (PQI) in manufacturing industries. He has supervised more than 65 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He has served as a reviewer for a number of engineering management and computer science conferences and journals as part of his expertise sharing initiatives. He had published more than 150 International Proceedings and International Journals and 8 books. Donald M. Reimer is an adjunct faculty at the A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical Engineering in College of Engineering at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Michigan. He coordinates the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Engineering Skills. Mr. Reimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Detroit\/Mercy. He is a Certified Management Consultant with over 35 years of experience in working with closely-held businesses. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategic management, corporate entrepreneurship and innovation for engineers. Mr. Reimer is a member of the Lawrence Tech Kern Campus Committee, Coordinator of the Lawrence Tech Innovation Encounter. He is faculty Advisor of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs\u2019 Organization. Mr. Reimer serves as a Kern Fellow of The Kern Family Foundation, Co-Direct of the Coleman Fellows Program, member of the National Collegiate Entrepreneurs\u2019 Organization Faculty Advisory Council and is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education.<\/p>\n

He has operated his own consulting company \u2013 The Small Business Strategy Group for 23 years. He published numerous articles on small business, entrepreneurship and strategic thinking. He has received several awards and recognition by local, state and federal agencies for his work in entrepreneurship and minority business development. Mr. Reimer served as member of the Minority Economic Development Committee of New Detroit. Mr. Reimer is member of the Small Business Advisory Council of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. Professor Ichiro Sugimoto is the Dean and a Professor at the Faculty of International Liberal Arts at Soka University, Japan. He also holds positions as the Representative of the Center for Malaysian Studies and the Director of the South Asia Research Center at the university, reflecting his commitment to advancing academic exchange and research in these fields. Ichiro earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, after completing his undergraduate studies at Soka University. His academic pursuits are primarily centered on the quantitative economic history and empirical analysis of long-term economic statistics for former British colonies in Malaya and Borneo. His early career was marked by a significant role in a research project led by HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah, which focused on constructing historical GDP estimates for Malaya from 1900 to 1939. This project provided him with invaluable expertise and insight into historical economic research, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. Building upon this experience, Ichiro has developed historical GDP estimates for Singapore for the periods 1900\u20131939 and 1950\u20131960. Leveraging these datasets, he has conducted several empirical studies that explore the economic growth and welfare dynamics of colonial Singapore. Currently, he is extending his research to construct comprehensive time series data on income and prices in former British colonies across Southeast Asia, aiming to shed light on the region\u2019s economic history with a rigorous quantitative approach. Ichiro’s research is characterized by robust collaboration with scholars in Malaysia and Singapore, enhancing cross-border academic partnerships. His efforts have been recognized through the award of 11 competitive research grants, both public and private, including those from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In addition to his research, Ichiro is deeply committed to education, teaching a wide range of courses in economics and statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His work not only contributes to the field of economic history but also fosters a deeper understanding of Southeast Asia\u2019s colonial and post-colonial economic landscapes.<\/p>\n

In 2011, he entered the doctoral program at Yamagata University, Graduate School of Science and Engineering and he established Conference Service Inc., whose main business is the support and management of academic conferences. He is pursuing his doctoral program in Keio University and his research works involve pose estimation and human activity recognition from mmWave radar, LIDAR point-clouds. He obtained Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2017 from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. He holds multiple certifications in advanced Machine Learning technologies. He also possesses certification in Data Science and Deep Learning by taking part in advanced professional training program in 2018. He was awarded honorary mention in IEEE Signal Processing cup in 2017. He was also awarded Bangladesh Government talent pool scholarship in 2010 by obtaining 43rd<\/sup> merit position. His research projects fields span in multiple domains including ECG signal analysis, toxicity classification, pose estimation and human activity recognition, vehicle routing optimization etc. He is an active contributor in multiple Machine Learning related open source projects.<\/p>\n

Tamer Ali Sebaey is a distinguished scholar and professor at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a career spanning over two decades in engineering education and research. He earned his PhD from the University of Girona in Spain. Prof. Sebaey’s expertise lies in the design of composite structures, optimal material selection, finite element analysis, automotive engineering, and the development of lightweight materials. He has published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented over 40 conference papers, achieving an h-index of 32. Currently, he leads the research efforts in composite design and mechanics at the Structures and Materials Research Lab at Prince Sultan University. Recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University list, Prof. Sebaey has been instrumental in promoting sustainable practices in materials engineering. In addition to his research, he leads the activities in the quality assurance and accreditation within the College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University and serves as an external reviewer for Saudi Arabia’s national accreditation agency. Prof. Sebaey is also engaged in training and consultancy to enhance productivity in various engineering sectors.<\/p>\n

Hilda Kundai Chikwanda is a Professor in the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & IT (EBIT)\u2019s Graduate School of Technology Management (GSTM) at the University of Pretoria (UP) in South Africa. \u00a0She holds a PhD in Engineering from Imperial College in London and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences in Johannesburg.\u00a0 Before that, <\/span>Hilda had received her BEng and MEng degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the Donestk University of Technology.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

She started her metallurgical engineering career in industry, where she took up positions first as a graduate trainee and then as a product metallurgist of an integrated metallurgical plant (ZISCO). \u00a0During her time at ZISCO, Hilda was instrumental in enhancing the quality of rolled products.\u00a0 Hilda left industry to be a research fellow at Imperial College in London.\u00a0 Hilda took up lectureship positions at the University of Zimbabwe, where she was accountable for all the physical metallurgy activities in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering.\u00a0 Later, she joined the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa first as a guest researcher and senior lecturer and then as Head of Department for the Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering department.\u00a0 Hilda moved to the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) where she was appointed research group leader of the Powder Metallurgy (PM) Technologies group.\u00a0 She made significant contributions to the development of lightweight materials using PM techniques, such as the mechanical alloying of TiPt-based High-Temperature Shape Memory Alloys (HTSMAs)alloys and TiMg alloys.\u00a0 She then moved to the University of Pretoria where she is currently.\u00a0 Hilda teaches operations management at the postgraduate level.\u00a0 Hilda is active in continuous education and has successfully supervised postgraduate students.\u00a0 Her current main area of research is operations management, with a specific focus on continuous improvement and the sustainability of operations.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

As an established researcher, Hilda Kundai Chikwanda leads the GSTM\u2019s research work in operations management, a testament to her influence and impact on the academic community.\u00a0 Her leadership and expertise in this area have led to significant advancements and have inspired others in the field.\u00a0 Hilda is a chartered engineer and a fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IMO3).\u00a0 She has published extensively, further cementing her reputation as a leading figure in her field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He obtained the B.Sc.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree in Information Technology (INFOTECH) from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Monash University, Australia, in 2020. He was a Project Engineer at Bay Power Limited, Bangladesh, in 2008 and then joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), Bangladesh as a Lecturer in 2009 and was promoted to an Assistant Professor in 2014. From 2014 to 2016, He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), Bangladesh. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at Monash University, Malaysia Campus, from 2021 to 2022. Dr. Mamun earned his PhD from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2008, specializing in nonlinear numerical optimization. His career has spanned roles as a Telco Solutions Architect at Sony Japan, Ericsson Japan, and Nokia Japan. Throughout these positions, he has played a key role in the design , digital transformation (DX) and process automation of 4G and 5G core networks for all Japanese Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and several major Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs).<\/p>\n

In his current role, Dr. Mamun is focused on leveraging AI to optimize nationwide cloud-native telco network capacity and performance planning. Additionally, he contributes to the academic community by reviewing research papers related to wireless communication and AI for several IEEE peer-reviewed journals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Takafumi Chida is a Principal Researcher in Research & Development Group, Hitachi Ltd. in Japan. He holds a B.S. and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, as well as a Ph.D. in System Informatics from Kobe University, Kobe, Japan. He has been actively involved in the development of new production system concepts and their implementation through the use of digital technologies, with a particular focus on planning optimization as his research interest. He applies these achievements to both Hitachi’s product factories and digital solution business for their industrial customers. His research areas encompass production process design, manufacturing control, logistics management, and supply chain management. He established Siemens Electro-Matic Industrial Engineering Lab at LTU in 2019. Dr. Ali was the primary author of the ABET self-study report of the BSIE Program at LTU in 2022. He earned B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, Masters in Systems and Engineering Management from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. Dr. Ali was Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico \u2013 Mayaguez, Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Toledo and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Khulna. He received an Outstanding Professor Award of the Industrial Engineering Department, University of Puerto Rico -Mayaguez, (2006-2007). He has published 60 journal and 150 conference papers. Dr Ali has conducted research projects with Chrysler, Ford, DTE Energy, New Center Stamping, Whelan Co., Delphi Automotive System, GE Medical Systems, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, International Truck and Engine Corporation (ITEC), National\/Panasonic Electronics, and Rockwell Automation. His research interests include manufacturing systems modeling, simulation and optimization, intelligent scheduling and planning, artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, e-manufacturing, and lean manufacturing. He supervised 11 doctoral students. Dr. Ali has involved with many international conference committees. He is the Founder of IEOM Society International and serving as an Executive Director. He was the head of the industrial engineering undergraduate study program (2015-2019); as an asset auditor of the internal supervisory unit (2014-2019); the head of UNS technology innovation center (2014-2016); and the general chair of the Indonesian industrial engineering higher education institution cooperation agency\/BKSTI (2017-2020). He is an Assessor of BAN-PT (Noreg. 2017-01215). He had experience working in the electronics industry as an engineer at PT. Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia from 2000-2003. She got Ph.D degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2016, in Systems and Engineering Management, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, NTU, Singapore. She has published numerous papers, both in journals and proceedings (conferences). She also has reviewed lots of papers in Industrial Engineering area. Her current research is in supply chain, cross-dock warehouse, modelling system, operation research, scheduling and special issue in halal supply chain. She has received many research grants in her research area. Her biography is included in Who\u2019s Who in the World year 2015 and 2018 and Who\u2019s Who in Science and Engineering year 2016 and 2017 by Marquis Publication, USA. She earned her PhD from the Insight Centre for Data Analytics at NUI Galway, Ireland, her Master’s degree from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and her Bachelor’s degree from ITS Surabaya. Her current research interests include knowledge graphs, big data, and computer ethics. She is the founder of several halal applications and has received multiple accolades, including the Graphie Award for Graph Community MVP Asia (2020), the ASEAN Scientist Leader Fellowship (2017), the Systers Pass It On Award (2011), the Grace Hopper Scholarship (2008), the N2Women Fellowship (2008), and the Google Summer of Code (2007). Recently, she has been actively involved in outreach to small and micro-businesses to support the implementation of Halal Assurance Systems.<\/p>\n

Yandra Arkeman is an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology. He earned a PhD in Manufacturing Systems Engineering with dissertation on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems using Genetic Algorithms from University of South Australia (2000). Then he conducted his first Post Doctoral research at Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Kansai University, Osaka, Japan, for 2 years (2004-2006) and his second Post Doctoral research at Department of Computer Science, George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, USA, for 4 months (2009\/2010). His biography is included in Who\u2019s Who in Science and Engineering 1998\/1999 by Marquis Publication, USA.<\/p>\n

He had a Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing Technology from University of South Australia with the thesis on Application of Artificial Intelligence for Flexible Manufacturing Systems Design. He obtained his first degree in Agroindustrial Technology from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia, with the \u201cskripsi\u201d (undergraduate thesis) on CAQ (Computer Aided Quality).<\/p>\n

He is a Professor at Department of Agroindustrial Technology as well as Department of Computer Science, IPB University. Since 2008, he also works at Surfactant and Bioenergy Research Center (SBRC) at IPB University, as a researcher on bioenergy sustainability and climate change. He was the Head of SBRC in 2019. He is now the Head of Master Program in Agro-Maritime Logistics, Post Graduate School, IPB University. He is also a researcher at Halal Science Center, IPB University.<\/p>\n

In March 2014, he established a research group, namely CEALS (Center of Excellence for Agroindustrial Logistics and Supply Chain Management). In 2018 he established another research group, namely BRAIN (Blockchain, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Networks.
