One of the main themes is how to reduce the readiness gap of business management graduates around the world. The special focus is given to operations management, management science, supply chain management, business analytics, and logistics management. Are the graduates ready to take on the challenges of the current global economy? IEOM Sydney Conference will have a dedicated session for the Global Business Management Education where distinguished speakers will discuss the readiness of business management graduates for workforce around the world. Meilita Tryana Sembiring, ST, MT is an Associate Professor and Secretary of Magister Management Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia. Also, she is a Lecturer in Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia. Dr. Meilita received her Doctoral from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) in 2015 and her Master\u2019s Degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 2004. She received her bachelor\u2019s degree in Industrial Engineering and is currently an active lecturer since 1997 at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Universitas Sumatra Utara. She is the Chairman of the Industrial Engineering Cooperation Agency (BKSTI) for North Sumatra &#8211; Aceh Region and is a member of the ISLI (Indonesian Supply Chain Association). She is an expert team of Higher Education Service Institutions in Region I. She was appointed Chair of the Industrial Engineering Department for five years, from 2017 to 2022 and has successfully obtained coaching certification in 2020. She has participated in the counterpart training of the Higher Education Development Support (HEDS) Project in Indonesia at Toyohashi University of Technology, Nagoya, Japan. Several Ph.D. graduates and a few Masters or other postgraduates are presently working under her watch. As a Principal Researcher at USU, she has received several million grants from internal and government subsidies for participating in community service activities. Dr. Meilita has written dozens of Scopus-indexed research articles on processing in the palm oil sector and other fields. Also, Her main research interest is in Supply Chain Management (SCM), especially regarding Palm Oil and coffee. One of her studies was about Palm Oil Based Biodiesel Supply Chain Model and her research on Palm Oil Supply Chain. She has authored and co-authored several papers on these subjects. She has published more than 51 papers in journals and international conferences. Matthew has undertaken research and consultancy across a range of industry sectors, including the manufacturing and process industries as well as local government. Assistant Professor) in the School of Economics at the University of Sydney, Australia. He originally hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours, summa cum laude, Humanities), from Roberts Wesleyan College, a Master of Science (Mathematical Economics) from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and a Master of Arts (Economics) and Ph.D. (Economics) from Cornell University.<\/p>\n<p>Russell is a development economist, with primary research interests in the economics of entrepreneurship in developing and emerging market countries. He has been involved in economics research in Myanmar since 2013. He has recently published research on competition amongst microenterprises, the economics of poverty traps, and the role of cash transfers and mentorship to support microenterprises owned by ultra-poor women in Kenya. He has presented research at international universities including Harvard, Melbourne, MIT, Oxford, and Yale, and given invited lectures in Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, and the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>At the University of Sydney his teaching is primarily focused in development economics, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also developed an innovative course on Communication in Economics for post-graduate students. He has worked as a consultant on behalf of parties including the Government of Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank.
