Travels to Bangkok
Fly into Bangkok’s Airport
Bangkok has two main international airports:
- Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) — the largest and main international airport.
- Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) — serves many low-cost and regional flights.
From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Novotel Siam Square
Fastest & most budget-friendly:
Airport Rail Link + BTS Skytrain (no traffic delays)
- Take the Airport Rail Link (City Line) from the airport lower level to Phaya Thai station.
- Transfer to the BTS Skytrain (Sukhumvit Line) and ride to Siam Station (4 stops). Exit 5 at Siam BTS Station and it’s a short 2-minute walk to the hotel.
– Time: ~40–55 min
– Cost: Around 65–90 THB total (Rail Link + BTS)
Most convenient (door-to-door):
Official airport taxi or ride-hailing (Grab/Bolt)
- Follow signs to the official taxi stand at arrivals.
- Give the driver the hotel name and address: 392/44 Siam Square Soi 6, Rama I Road. There’s a 50 THB airport surcharge + tolls when using expressways.
– Time: ~30–60 min (traffic dependent)
– Cost: ~350–600 THB plus tolls - 1 USD = ~31 THB (Thai Baht)
Private transfer: Pre-booked car/van pickup from the airport for door-to-door comfort.
Public buses or shared vans also run, but require a few transfers and usually take longer, so they’re best for budget travelers without luggage.
From Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Novotel Siam Square
- Airport Bus (A1/A2) → BTS: Take the airport bus to Mo Chit BTS Station → BTS Skytrain to Siam Station → short walk to the hotel.
- Taxi/Grab: Direct taxi from the airport to the hotel is the simplest option.
– Time: ~50–60 min by public transport or taxi, depending on traffic.

Tips for International Travelers
