Fahrial Alam is a professional with a notable presence in the fields of engineering, business development, and entrepreneurship. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he currently holds the position of Senior Assistant Director at Walton Hi-tech Industries, working in arenas of business expansion & data diving. In addition to this role, Fahrial also serves as the Business Development Manager at Winbridge Tech, showcasing his aptitude for fostering strategic growth and innovation in the field of business process outsourcing. Before that he had worked as a Global Organizational Leadership Development (GOLD) Associate at Avery Dennison Bangladesh, where he worked on an operational level, executing Six Sigma Projects in various production lines in the company.
His passion for subjects such as Lean Engineering, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 is palpable, reflecting a dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and business strategies. Having undergone a rigorous on-hand training on Lean Six Sigma in Nansha, China, he was exposed to the work processes & traditions of the industries over there, and how they had Lean integrated in their very fabric. It is his objective to strive for that level of dedication by applying these norms in a national context.

The title of talk: State of the art of Lean Six Sigma and its implementation in the Flexible Packaging Industry.
Mr. Muhammad Mamun Mia currently serves as General Manager at Sinobangla Industries Limited, which is the largest and pioneer joint venture Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) and Woven Polypropylene (WPP) bags manufacturing plant in the country. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing the site’s operational performance and ensuring that the business meets its financial, quality, service, safety, employee relations and supply chain management goals. As a board member of Sinobangla Industries Limited, he also plays a key role in making critical business decisions. Mr. Muhammad Mamun Mia holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial & Production Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, a Master’s Degree in Operations Management from Bangladesh University of Science & Technology, and a Master of Business Administration degree with a major in Marketing from Jahangirnagar University. He is a certified operations management professional and has nearly 14 years of experience in the fortune-listed MNC & reputed Local Manufacturing industry in Bangladesh. He has undergone extensive training both at home and abroad, including being a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Dr Mikel J Harry Six Sigma Management Institute, USA, and trained in “Production Management” from AOTS Kansai Kenshu Center, Osaka, Japan. He also has Project Management Professional certification, CQI-IRCA certified ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Lead Auditor certification, and Internal Auditor Training on IMS and BRCGS issue 6 for Packaging Materials. Mr. Muhammad Mamun Mia has helped guide his current and previous organizations in their journey towards Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Implementation, and soft skills development. He is a member of the Bangladesh AOTS Alumni Society (BAAS) and Dr Mikel J Harry’s Six Sigma Management Institute (SSMI).
