Robots should be developed around the conference theme and demonstrate innovation, engineering design, creativity, and problem-solving.<\/p>\n<p>Projects will be evaluated based on both the robot demonstration and the team\u2019s presentation during the IEOM Barcelona Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Winning teams will receive award certificates during the IEOM Barcelona 2026 Awards Ceremony.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Theme:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Smart Robotic Solutions for a Better World<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Teams are encouraged to develop robotic solutions in one of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smart Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Warehouse &amp; Logistics Automation<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare Robotics<\/li>\n<li>Agricultural Robotics<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Disaster Response &amp; Rescue<\/li>\n<li>Smart Cities<\/li>\n<li>Community Service<\/li>\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<li>Assistive Technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Competition Format<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Each team will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select a robotics theme.<\/li>\n<li>Design and build an original working robot.<\/li>\n<li>Program and test the robot before the conference.<\/li>\n<li>Bring the completed robot to the IEOM Barcelona Conference.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the robot live before the judges.<\/li>\n<li>Give a 5\u201310 minute presentation explaining the design, programming, innovation, and impact.<\/li>\n<li>Answer questions from the judging panel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to\u00a0<strong>Middle School (Grades 6\u20138),\u00a0<\/strong><strong>High School (Grades 9\u201312)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>College<\/strong>\u00a0students.<\/li>\n<li>Teams may consist of\u00a0<strong>2\u20135 students<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Each team must have one teacher, coach, or mentor.<\/li>\n<li>Robots may be built using any educational robotics platform or custom-built system.<\/li>\n<li>The robot design and programming should primarily be completed by the student team.<\/li>\n<li>Each team must attend the IEOM Barcelona 2026 Conference to present and demonstrate their robot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Recommended Robot Platforms<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Teams may use any educational robotics platform, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LEGO\u00ae SPIKE Prime<\/li>\n<li>LEGO\u00ae Mindstorms<\/li>\n<li>VEX IQ<\/li>\n<li>VEX V5<\/li>\n<li>Arduino<\/li>\n<li>Raspberry Pi<\/li>\n<li>micro:bit<\/li>\n<li>Makeblock<\/li>\n<li>FTC\/FRC Robots<\/li>\n<li>Custom-built robots<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>IEOM Robo Competition Rubrics<\/strong><\/h2>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Evaluation Criteria<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Points<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Innovation &amp;
