{"id":140,"date":"2017-04-15T11:14:55","date_gmt":"2017-04-15T11:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ieomsociety.org\/ieom2018\/?page_id=140"},"modified":"2017-11-28T19:24:07","modified_gmt":"2017-11-28T19:24:07","slug":"capstone-poster-competition","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ieomsociety.org\/ieom2018\/capstone-poster-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Capstone Poster Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>IEOM Capstone Senior Design Project Poster Competition 2018<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The IEOM Capstone Student Design Project \/ Final Year Project (FYP) Presentation Competition<\/strong> will recognize outstanding design project in the field of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, engineering management and operations management prepared by student team. Capstone student design project team can showcase their engineering design project by submitting a summary of the project as an abstract and present it. It should highlight problem solving, creative thinking, innovation, project planning, and teamwork through a challenging design and build project. Each submission must be presented at the Seventh International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations management to be held at Hilton Hotel in Bandung, Indonesia on March 6, 2018. The poster presentation will be judged based on the technical content and poster presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. The winning awards will be given at the 2018 IEOM International Conference Award Banquet in Bandung, Indonesia on March 7, 2018.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The submitter must be student or recent graduate and be part of the senior design project team.<\/li>\n<li>A summary of the senior design project must be prepared by the student(s) with only minor outside editorial assistance. One or more advisors may appear as co-authors, but the student must be the \u2018first author\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The design project must be presented at the IEOM International Conference at Hilton Bandung Hotel on March 7, 2018.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Important Dates<br \/>\n<\/strong>Deadline for submission: December 31, 2017.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><br \/>\nAuthors must follow the 2018 IEOM Poster guidelines. IEOM poster size is\u00a0 36\u2033 x 24\u2033 (36 inches high by\u00a0 24 inches wide) or bigger. Students are encourage to bring a poster board.<\/p>\n<p>Team can submit an abstract\/poster and bring a poster at the conference event.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Submission<\/strong><br \/>\nSubmit an abstract online: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=lK6LBlL.\">https:\/\/www.xcdsystem.com\/IEOM\/abstract\/index.cfm?ID=lK6LBlL.<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Judging<\/strong><br \/>\nA group of academics \/ professionals will serve as judges and evaluate the papers and presentations.
