Dr. Subashini R is currently working as a faculty member at VIT Business School and also holds the administrative position as Divisional Head of OB, HRM & GM Division at VIT Business School and as Director i/c of VITCR at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.

She holds a PhD (in Management) for which she has been honoured with the Best PhD Thesis Award. Her area of research interest is Tacit Knowledge Sharing, Talent Management, Leadership Development. Her overall industry and academic experience are 15+ years (which includes Industry, Teaching, Research and Administrative experience). Dr.Subashini is the Editorial and Fellow member of many Journals and Professional Societies and has 52 Publications; 26 Books, Book Chapters, Conference Proceedings and Patents Published. She also writes articles for ‘The Hindu’ newspaper on a regular basis. Currently she has 7 Research Scholars doing research under her supervision under the broad subject areas – Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management.

She has been a presenter and chairperson for many National and International Conferences held in India, Australia, China, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Thailand and UK. She had been the Principal Investigator of 18 Consultancy Projects and Government of India Funded Projects (approved by ICSSR, MSME-DI, MHRD, ICAI and UNICEF). She is also the key consultant and trainer for middle level employees of many companies across sectors. She has delivered more than 75 Invited Talks at Professional Societies, Institutes and Industries. She has organized more than 150 events in the capacity as Convener/Faculty Organizer for FDPs, MDPs, EDPs, Conferences, Workshops, VAPs, Technical and Non-Technical Events at National and International levels.

To add on to her credential, she has been honoured with Faculty Research Award; Best PhD Thesis Award, Dynamic Teacher Award; Woman Leadership Award; Inspiring Woman Award; Global Educational Leaders’ Award, Best Faculty Mentor Award and many more.

Title of the Presentation: Resilient and Sustainable Global Supply Chains: Navigating Disruptions in an Uncertain World

Dr. G.S. Vijaya, BE (E& EE), MBA, PHD (BIT Mesra) is currently working as Professor and Area Chair -Decision Science, Faculty of Management studies, CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).  With a career spanning over 28 years, she has held significant roles in both academia and industry, working at various prestigious Indian universities and Al Yamamah University in Saudi Arabia.  She is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, the International Association of Engineers in Singapore, and the Quality Circle Forum of India. Her commitment to advancing education and research is evident through her mentorship of seven research scholars who have earned their PhDs under her guidance and she has contributed to the intellectual property domain with three patents. She has published more than sixty papers and seventeen book chapters.

She has presented research papers at prominent institutions and conferences. Her work has been showcased at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMB and IIMK), the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and international forums such as the International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences (IISES) in Venice -Italy, Eurasian conferences at Valencia-Spain, London-UK, Vienna- Austria and Paris – France. Furthermore, her expertise has been recognized in technical sessions and as a speaker at few Indian and Eurasian conferences.

Dr Saurabh Pratap is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT BHU), Varanasi, U.P, India. Previously, He was working as Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Jabalpur, M.P, India from June 2017 to Nov 2020 and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering at University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong from Oct 2016 to June 2017. He received his B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institute of Engineering & Technology, (India) and M. Tech degree in Production Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (India) in the year 2008 and 2011, respectively. He has completed his Ph.D. degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering Department at IIT Kharagpur, India in 2016. He has authored several technical papers. His publications appeared in such journals as International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Annals of Operation Research, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing and Maritime Economics & logistics. He carried out collaborative research with the Cardiff Business School, Geneava Business School and the University of Hong Kong, HK. He is working as a reviewer for 21 renowned International Journals. He is also serving as a Guest Editor of reputed journals, i.e. Computers & Industrial Engineering, Axioms, Operations Management Research Journal, Complexity journals, and Associate Editor of OPSEARCH, Operations Management Research Journal.

Dr. Badri Toppur completed his PhD in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2002. His PhD research was in the area of heuristics for network design using Computational Geometry. On returning to India, he accepted a teaching appointment at the T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal. After gaining considerable teaching experience there with PGDM students, he moved to Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai where he taught for a further four years. The students there were with at least 1.5 years of work experience in the corporate world, and the interaction with them made the teaching more challenging in the fast-track programme. He has since then been teaching at Rajalakshmi School of Business as an Associate Professor in Analytics, an up-and-coming B-School that is part of a large educational group in South India. In addition to Business Statistics, his current areas of interest are in Business Forecasting and Machine Learning, using Python and R. He has published papers in reputed journals, on various topics in Scientific Management, collaborating with noted scholars and managers from his professional circle. He is a member of INFORMS and Operations Research Society of India and the Computational Geometry Society, and regularly presents his work at their conferences.

While teaching at Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) he did his MBA in Global Energy jointly offered by GLIM and Bauer College, University of Houston, USA. His talk in this edition of the  IEOM conference is based upon a collaboration with a chief technical manager from IOC who was also a participant in the same MBA program.

Title of my proposed presentation:  From mine to market: Rethinking critical resource supply chains
Global demand for the critical minerals needed for green technologies, such as lithium, cobalt and rare earths, is redrawing trade maps and exposing new dependencies. Governments are scrambling to secure supply, while businesses face scrutiny over sourcing standards, environmental risks and geopolitical exposure. What models are emerging to build more resilient, responsible and transparent mineral supply chains?

Dr. Subrat Sahoo is a distinguished corporate leader and academic with over 31 years of experience in global supply chain management, logistics, international trade, and operations strategy. He currently serves as Vice President – Global Supply Chain Management at JSW Steel Ltd, where he oversees international procurement, logistics, shipping, and port management of bulk raw materials. Dr. Sahoo holds dual degrees – MBA and PGCEP from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Visakhapatnam—along with an M.Tech in Mining Geology from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from the CII Institute of Logistics. He has also completed executive programs at XLRI, Jamshedpur and the University of Agder, Norway. A Certified Independent Director by KPMG and IICA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Sahoo is pursuing Ph.D. degrees in Production and Operations Management at IIM Visakhapatnam and in Petroleum Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. His research focuses on strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions through effective logistics management. A Global Laureate in Marketing and recipient of the ARKIEVA Inflection Award for Innovative Supply Chain Leader of the Year (Manufacturing, 2021), he is also the author of the book “Supply Chain Resilience” and several research publications in reputed international journals. As a visiting faculty member at institutions such as IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM Sambalpur, Andhra University, and GITAM University, Dr. Sahoo is a sought-after speaker at international forums including Metal Bulletin (UK) and S&P Global Commodity Insights (Singapore), contributing extensively to academia and industry alike.

He is an Emeritus Professor of DMS IIT Delhi in the area of Operations & Supply Chain Management, Industrial Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Project Systems Management, TQM, DSS, Operations Research Applications, Prof Banwet is a graduate Mechanical Engineer, with Master of Industrial Engineering and a PhD (Industrial Engg. / Production Management from IIT Delhi.

Previously he served as a first engineering faculty member of University Business School of Panjab University at Chandigarh for a decade, next to CSMS IIT Delhi was Professor HAG) in DMS IIT Delhi and Chairman of 2 Interdisciplinary Programmes ASRP Applied Systems Research Program and Entrepreneurship Program at IIT Delhi, after being Professor Emeritus for 4 + years, became Founding Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Management at Kolkata. Dr. Arshinder Kaur has been working as Professor of Operations & supply chain Management in the department of Management Studies at IIT Madras since July 2008. She is Co-Head of IITM-FedEx-SMART center at IIT Madras. She has also worked as Senior Lecturer in Curtin Business School for the year 2014. Arshinder’s doctoral work (PhD thesis) on the topic ‘Supply Chain Coordination’ was accepted as a Highly Commended Award Winner of the 2008 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award. Her teaching interests are Manufacturing & Services Operations Management, Supply chain & Logistics Management, Strategic Sourcing, Global Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, and Operations Research. Her research interests are Supply Chain Contracts and coordination, Food supply chain, Sustainable & Closed loop supply chain, Inventory control, Service supply chain, Last mile Logistics.

Her research has appeared in refereed journals (more than 45 articles) such as Int. Trans. In Operational Research, Ann. of Operations Research, Omega, Int. J. of Production Economics, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Cleaner Production, Benchmarking, J. of Knowledge Management, Sustainability and Int. J. of Logistics Research and Application, among others.

She is ad-hoc reviewer to many reputed international journals and Associate Editor of OPSEARCH. She has guided 10 doctoral research scholars and 11 MS (by research) students. The ongoing research scholars are working in supply chain contracts in Agro-based supply chains, returns management in Omni-Channel retailing, Traceability using block chains, last-mile logistics including newer transportation modes like EVs and drones etc. She has got sponsored projects from the agencies like DST, India, Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC)- GCRF, UKRI, and exploratory research funds from IIT Madras.

She has coordinated many continuing education and training programs for faculty and industry like Daimler, HAL, Areva, GMMCO, etc. She has been visiting University of Passau and Hof University (under Erasmus-Mundus), Germany as guest faculty. She has Honorary Appointment as a Key Technology Partner Visiting Fellow at University of Technology Sydney in UTS Business School, Australia in May 2017. She has initiated Joint Doctoral Programs with foreign universities.  She has been contributing as an Assessor for Australia Research Council (ARC). She has been a part of many sponsored projects funded by UKRI, DST and IIT Madras (CSR, socially relevant projects). She has served for various academic administrative activities of the department and the Institute. She is holding membership of POMS and POMS India chapter, SOM India and ISM.

Dr. R. Dillibabu, is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, where I have been deeply engaged in teaching, research, and innovation for over two decades. Dr Dillibabu is a Ph.D. in Quality Control and Assurance from Anna University and since then has a passion for advancing quality systems and operational excellence has guided every facet of his work.

He has I published 36 international journal papers in reputed platforms such as Knowledge and Information Systems, Soft Computing, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, and The Scientific World Journal. His research primarily focuses on software quality, risk prediction, process optimization, and intelligent decision-making systems, integrating methodologies such as fuzzy logic, multi-criteria decision-making and AI-driven analytics to enhance system performance and reliability. Is credited with five patents, including innovations in AI-powered business process automation, personal health assistance devices, stress-tracking technology, and deep learning based 3D image synthesis. Each of these reflects my commitment to developing intelligent, scalable solutions that connect engineering precision with real-world applicability.

Internationally, Dr Dillibabu has represented Anna University through the Erasmus Programme at UPM, Madrid, and delivered invited lectures in Muscat, Oman, on the implementation of Total Quality Management. I have also chaired and organized several international conferences, most recently serving as Organizing Secretary for ICAIEA 2022.As a researcher, mentor, and innovator, my vision is to create impactful bridges between academic research and industrial application transforming quality from a procedural  concept into a dynamic driver of sustainable growth and technological advancement across disciplines and industries.

Capt Dr.  Bhaskar M Bhandarkar, Former Chairman MRDB Institution of India and Vice president of the Institute of Marine Engineers India, is a multifaceted personality.

Captain was the Engineering Officer on board INS Chakra, the first Nuclear Submarine operated by the Indian Navy. He participated in the IPKF operations in Srilanka. He is credited with the National Record of winning the “Prime Minister’s Trophy” For three consecutive years

Commander has Graduate degrees in Science and Engineering; Master’s degrees in Engineering and Management; and PhD from Birla Institute of Technology. He is a Gold medallist from NCDC, GOI, MHA , Nagpur. He was the commissioning Officer-in-Charge of Kursura Submarine- Museum – The unique engineering marvel.. The Captain was commended by the Flag officer commanding in Chief Eastern Naval Command twice for his professional acumen, dedication, and achievements. Mr Bhandarkar is actively associated with many Professional and Social institutions.. He is a Board Member of the Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society Japan and a Fellow of IEOM USA.

Prof . Dr. V. R. Pramod

Dr V R Pramod is a retired Professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NSS College of Engineering in Palakkad, India. He has a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala, an M.Tech in Maintenance Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He got PhD in Maintenance Engineering from School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology for his thesis titled “MQFD: A Model for synergizing TPM and QFD”. He got another PhD in Supply Chain Management from the Department of Management Studies of Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. His thesis titled “Study on Select Performance Related Issues in Service Sector Supply Chain”. He has a wealth of experience including seven years in the industrial sector in India and the UAE and 23 years in the field of education, Dr. Pramod is a highly regarded expert in his field.

He has made significant contributions to academia and industry through his research and publication of over 20 papers at prominent national and international conferences, as well as 60 papers in highly regarded international journals. He has also guided 10 PhD students to successful completion and is currently supervising 6 research scholars pursuing PhDs from various universities. His current areas of research focus on Industrial Maintenance, Quality Engineering, Engineering Education, Supply Chain Management, Telecom Logistics, and Service Management.

Some among the major hallmarks  among the carrier of DR. V. R. Pramod  include a Book Chapter Contribution: P.R.S.Sarma and V.R.Pramod, (2013) “Structural Flexibility in Supply Chains – A Fuzzy ISM and FMICMAC Approach” Springer , has 3 Patents, Served as reviewer for international  Journals, 4. He has delivered many talks in Professional bodies .5. He conducted two national and one international conferences at NSSCE, He has taught more than 25 subjects for UG and PG,7. He Conducted an ISTE Short Term Course on “Maintenance Engineering and Management” at NSSCE. He Coordinated Workshop on “MODERN TRENDS IN ENGINEERING ADMISSION” at NSSCE. He  Handled many responsibilities in College like Programme officer , National service scheme and Secretary ISTE Students Chapter. His hobbies are Astrology and Agriculture.

Prof Dr Ramesh Anbandan

Dr. Ramesh Anbanandam is a Professor at the Department of Management Studies and Head of the Centre for Transportation Systems (CTRANS) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. With a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from IIT Delhi and a strong academic foundation in engineering, he has cultivated a distinguished career in both teaching and research. His core research interests span sustainable transportation logistics, humanitarian and healthcare supply chains, waste management, and the industrial Internet of Things. Over the years, he has supervised 13 Ph.D. scholars and numerous M.Tech and B.Tech theses.

Dr. Anbanandam has published over 100-refereed journal and conference papers, with a Google Scholar h-index of 32. He has been recognized with several awards, including IIT Roorkee’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2022. He has also led and collaborated on major research and consultancy projects funded by national agencies and industries. His contributions extend to curriculum development, editorial roles, and international academic collaborations, establishing him as a expert in the field of sustainable logistics and supply chain management in India.

Prof Dr Ram Kumar Mishra

Dr. Ram Kumar Mishra, former Senior Professor, and Former Director, ONGC Subir Raha Chair Professor of Corporate Governance and NLCIL Chair Professor of CSR at the Institute of Public Enterprise, is a graduate of the International Management Program, SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy. He has been a Fellow of the British Council and Commonwealth Secretariat. He has had research stints at London Business School and Maison Des Sciences De L’ Hommes, Paris.  He has taught at the University of Bradford, the United Kingdom, and has been a Visiting Professor at Maison Des Sciences De L’ Hommes, Paris, UN International Centre for Public/Promotional Enterprises, Slovenia, University of Technology Mara, Malaysia, Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Sri Sri University, India and University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a member of the UN Task Force on Standards of Excellence in Public Administration and Education. He has been a Management Consultant for several organizations including DFID, Deloitte, Adam Smith Institute, ADB, and the Centre for Good Governance.

He was associated with the UNDP project on Macro Economics of Poverty Reduction carried out by RBI Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Banking and Research. He was a team member of the State Fiscal Restructuring Project of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. He was Vice-President, International Association of Schools and Institutes in Administration (IASIA), Brussels. He was the Chairman of the Working Group II: Public-Private-Partnership and Enterprise Management constituted by the IASIA. He was chosen for the Australian Leadership Award by the Australian Agency for International Development (AUSAID). He was a symposium presenter, Academy of Management, Annual Conference, MIT, Boston, USA.
