Arshia Kaul is a PhD., MPhil., M.Sc. (Gold Medalist) in Operational Research, Master Trainer Program \u2013 Teaching, Training & Developing Professionals (EIU). She is a Post Graduate Diploma in Instructional Design and Diploma in Virtual Online Teaching course. She is also a certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and recently completed a Professional Certificate in Design Thinking and Innovation Management. She has completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Boxhill, Institute, Melbourne, Australia. She has published 20+ research papers published in journals of national and international repute and presented at 10+ conferences. One of her most recent articles was published in Business Strategy and the Environment (Impact factor- 10.302). Her current research interests are quality management, supply chain management and Education 4.0.<\/p>\n

Aman holds PhD in Management from Deakin Business School, Deakin University, demonstrating his academic foundation in the field. He supplemented his academic qualifications with a Graduate Diploma in Pedagogy (professional teaching qualification) from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, the University of Melbourne, reflecting his dedication to pedagogy and teaching excellence.<\/p>\n

Also, he completed the Tutoring in Business and Economics (TBE) program from WCLA, Faculty of Business and Economics, the University of Melbourne. He is part of the WCLA team as a peer mentor, contributing positively to teaching excellence at the Faculty of Business and Economics. Aman has proven track record in subject coordination, curriculum design, LMS maintenance, student support, and delivering both face-to-face and online education that aligns with the desired skills for his position.<\/p>\n

Topic: Game-based learning\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesse Olsen is a Senior Lecturer of Management in the Department of Management and Marketing, Academic Program Director of the Master of Business, and a Research Associate at the Centre for Asian Business and Economics. He earned his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA). His research focuses on hobbies\/leisure and work, improvisation in organisations, diversity and inclusion, international\/cross-cultural management, and leadership. For both his teaching and research, Jesse has recently begun looking at the applicability of hobbies and personal activities to work and the workplace, with particular interest in Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and other tabletop role-playing games.<\/p>\n

Jesse’s work has been presented in such top-tier management publications as the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Harvard Business Review, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and has been featured in such media outlets as the BBC, SBS World News, The Guardian, Forbes, and The Conversation. He has also presented his research at numerous academic and professional conferences and worked with organisations such as Perpetual, the Australian Workplace Gender Equality Agency, McDonald’s, the Queensland Government, and the Asian Development Bank. Jesse’s professional experience includes his position as international exchange coordinator at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya, Japan. He was also employed as a business project manager in the Merger Integration Office and Corporate Strategies Group of SunTrust Bank (now Truist) in Atlanta. Before coming to The University of Melbourne, Jesse conducted research and taught courses in the US, South Korea, and Japan. Always in pursuit of interesting and new ways to understand adaptation and organisational change, Jesse has received improvisation and comedy writing training from the Laugh Masters Academy (Melbourne) and the Second City (Chicago, USA). He enjoys incorporating what he has learned through these pursuits into his teaching, research, and everyday life.<\/p>\n

Dr Michael ‘Maxx’ Schmitz is an award-winning educator, curriculum designer, and game-based learning specialist with over two decades of experience in higher education. Currently a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, he leads innovative teaching initiatives that integrate games, simulations, and experiential learning into Arts and interdisciplinary curricula. Maxx\u2019s research explores the pedagogical impact of serious games and wargaming, with a focus on improving student engagement, critical thinking, and transferable skills in both academic and industry-facing contexts. He has designed games and immersive learning experiences in both tertiary and vocational sectors. His current projects include developing digital escape rooms for teamwork development and assessment and creating dynamic learning environments that merge academic theory with practical application.<\/p>\n

Ferry has graduated his doctorate study from The University of Sydney in 2008. His PhD thesis is Supply Chain Analysis in the Australian Beef Industry. Currently Dr Jie is an Associate Professor at School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University. Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer and taking a program coordinator role in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) at RMIT University. He was managing and coordinating the undergraduate program in LSCM at RMIT from 2015 to 2016.<\/p>\n

Ferry Jie has maintained a high quality of research throughout his academic career including international scholarly leadership in the areas of supply chain management and logistics, including regularly being invited to be a keynote speaker and to give public lectures at symposiums and international conferences in Indonesia, Pakistan, Bhutan, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, UK, Sri Lanka, and Australia.\u00a0From 2017 to now, published more than 88 refereed journal articles\u2014including 51 articles in SCIMAGO Q1-ranked journals and 12 articles in Q2-ranked journals, and 9 refereed conference papers. Furthermore, Dr Jie has received research grants\/awards adding over $1.7 million between 2017 and 2024.<\/p>\n

Dr. Md Abdus Samad Kamal is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Gunma University, Japan. He received Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2006. Earlier, he was a Researcher at The University of Tokyo, Japan, a Visiting Researcher with Toyota Central R & D Labs., Inc., Japan, and a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering, Monash University, Malaysia campus. His research interests include intelligent transportation systems, cooperative control of connected and automated vehicles, and the applications of model predictive control. Over a decade, he has been jointly working in various research projects in collaboration with Japanese car manufactures and\/or under the Grants-in-Aid\u00a0for Scientific Research of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science\u00a0(JSPS). Dr. Kamal is a member of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).<\/p>\n

Abbos Sattorov is Chief Specialist at the Center for International Cooperation at Oriental University Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he also lectures in English linguistics. He earned his first Master\u2019s degree in Information and Communication Technologies from Tashkent University of Information Technologies and is currently completing his second Master\u2019s degree in English Linguistics at Oriental University. This multidisciplinary foundation enables him to integrate technology, language, and education into his academic and professional work.<\/p>\n

His interests focus on the internationalization of higher education, education policy and management, and operations management in emerging economies. At Oriental University, he has played an active role in developing global partnerships, coordinating Erasmus+ initiatives, and promoting student and staff mobility programs that connect Uzbekistan with international institutions.\u00a0Looking forward, he plans to pursue a PhD in education policy and management at a top 20 globally ranked university, with the University of Melbourne among his preferred destinations.
