The 20,000-square foot showroom and event space located in Racine, Wisconsin, connects visitors with the past, present, and future of Case IH, including the company&#8217;s collection of heritage pieces instrumental to the development of today&#8217;s Case IH MagnumTM series tractor.<\/p>\n<p>The Racine Experience Center is also the kickoff location for tours of our Manufacturing Operations and includes the Case IH Fan Shop that offers exclusive merchandise and apparel. Units produced in Racine are for both domestic and global consumption. In addition, this facility builds and assembles components for other Case IH products assembled in sister plants spread throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>Tours last approximately 2 hours. It produces major components for large mining machines, including\u202felectric rope shovels,\u202fhybrid shovels, draglines and\u202fblasthole drills. The location serves as the center of excellence for large gearing, large fabrication and machining across Komatsu\u2019s surface mining businesses. Komatsu held an official ribbon cutting ceremony in 2022 alongside stakeholders to celebrate and welcome the community to its South Harbor Campus.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to leverage technology and open spaces, the facility is LEED Gold certified and designed with several notable sustainability features, including wind spires, solar panels and a closed-loop system designed to collect and conserve water. Additionally, efficient HVAC systems allow for facility wide energy management featuring smart systems to reduce energy demands and LED lighting throughout.<\/p>\n<p>Visit the facility and check out the equipment monuments featuring a 4100A electric mining shovel and 830E electric drive truck. The shovel was originally built in 1995 and has 25 years of service mining copper in the Rio Tinto Kennecott Bingham Canyon Mine in Utah. The electric drive truck was assembled in 2012 for autonomous solutions testing at Komatsu\u2019s Proving Grounds in Arizona. Visitors can also stroll along Greenfield Avenue to learn from educational nodes that highlight renewable energy, water, energy innovation and the company\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>The public is also welcome to stop inside the facility\u2019s lobby to view the Customer Experience Center, check out the company store, and enjoy a drink at Komatsu\u2019s Mineral Point Coffee Bar, which features Anodyne coffee, assorted teas and bakery goods.
