Undergraduate Student Paper Competition Sponsored by SIEMENS

The IEOM UNDERGRADUATE Student Paper Competition Sponsored by SIEMENS will recognize outstanding papers in the field of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, operations research, engineering management and operations management written by student(s). Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. A group of academics / professionals will serve as judges. Scoring rubrics will be used for both parts of the judging. Winners will receive award certificates. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Graduate Student Paper Competition Sponsored by EATON Corporation

The IEOM GRADUATE Student Paper Competition sponsored by Eaton will recognize outstanding papers in the field of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, operations research, engineering management and operations management written by student(s). Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. A group of academics / professionals will serve as judges. Scoring rubrics will be used for both parts of the judging. Winners will receive award certificate and monetary award based on the sponsorship. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Master Thesis Presentation Competition

IEOM Master Thesis Presentation Award recognizes outstanding research in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, operations research, engineering management, operations management and related areas. Students must enroll in the masters’ program during the current academic year. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Doctoral Dissertation Competition

IEOM Doctoral Dissertation Competition recognizes outstanding research in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, operations research, engineering management, operations management, and related areas. Students must enroll in the doctoral program during the current academic year. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Undergraduate Research Competition

The IEOM Undergraduate Research Competition will recognize outstanding research presentation in the field of industrial engineering and operations management presented by student(s). Students can submit abstract only and present at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. The presentation will be judged based on the presentation only. A group of academics / professionals will serve as judges. Scoring rubrics will be used for both parts of the judging. Winners will receive award certificate. Monetary award will be based on the sponsorship. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Senior Design Project / FYP Competition

The IEOM Capstone Student Design Project / Final Year Project (FYP) Presentation Competition will recognize outstanding design projects in the field of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, engineering management and operations management prepared by student team. Capstone student design project team can showcase their engineering design project by submitting a summary of the project as an abstract and present it. It should highlight problem solving, creative thinking, innovation, project planning, and teamwork through a challenging design and build project. Each submission must be presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. The presentations will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. Award certificates will be given for the best senior design project presenters.


High School STEM Competition

The IEOM High School STEM Competition recognizes the outstanding students for their accomplishment in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) for their innovative and creative projects. High school students can submit individual and/or team research projects in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or similar areas. Each submission can provide a summary of the STEM project. The projects will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. These awards are presented at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


AI-ML Competition

The AI and ML competition focuses on exploring the transformative power of artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics. It discusses the latest advancements, trends, and applications of AI and data-driven strategies across various industries including higher education. By highlighting cutting-edge research, real-world case studies, and emerging technologies, the discussion aims to provide invaluable insights into how businesses can leverage AI and data analytics to drive innovation, enhance decision-making, and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly data-centric world. Human Factors and Ergonomics Competition

The IEOM Human Factors and Ergonomics Competition will recognize outstanding case studies in the area of human factors, occupational ergonomics, industrial accidents, safety, OSHA and NIOSH guidelines implementations, occupational health, etc. Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the IEOM Singapore Conference. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. The winning awards will be given at the IEOM Singapore Conference award event.


Lean Six Sigma Competition

The IEOM Lean Six Sigma Competition will recognize outstanding case studies in the area of lean and six sigma. Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the conference. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates.


Simulation Competition 

Simulation Competition will recognize outstanding simulation projects in the field of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, operations management and related fields. Students can showcase their engineering simulation or design project by submitting a summary of the project as an abstract or paper and present it. Each submission must be presented at the at the 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference. The presentation will be judged based on the technical content and oral presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. The winning awards will be given at the conference award banquet – 2025 IEOM Morocco Conference.


Supply Chain and Logistics Competition

The IEOM Supply Chain and Logistics Competition will recognize outstanding case studies in the area of supply chain and logistics. Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the conference via zoom. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates.


Global Design Competition sponsored by Amatrol Inc.

Developing Innovative Design Solutions with the Customer in Mind. You can submit a summary and present your innovative design during the conference in Singapore or virtual via zoom.

IEOM Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement


Each paper must present a significant research contribution, encompassing:

  1. Motivation of the Research: Clearly state the relevance of the research and its importance within the field.
  2. Problem Statements and Objectives: Identify the specific problem(s) addressed and outline clear, measurable objectives.
  3. Literature Review: Provide a comprehensive review of relevant research to establish the context and background.
  4. Data: Describe the data sources, collection methods, and any preprocessing steps undertaken.
  5. Methods: Detail the methodologies used, including the rationale behind their selection.
  6. Results: Include both numerical and graphical results, effectively presenting key findings.
  7. Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis Tests: Perform appropriate statistical tests to validate findings, presenting results with proper interpretation.
  8. Research Validation: Demonstrate that each objective has been met through quantitative or qualitative analysis, confirming the reliability of the results.
  9. Technical Writing Quality: Ensure the paper is well-written, free from spelling and grammatical errors, and follows a clear, logical structure.

Each paper and its abstract must strictly adhere to the IEOM Template for consistent formatting, including fonts, headings, and layout.
