Lean Six Sigma Competition<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The IEOM Lean Six Sigma Competition will recognize outstanding case studies in the area of lean and six sigma. Selected papers will be considered for the competition and must be presented at the conference. The paper will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. Winners will receive award certificates. The winning awards will be given at the conference.<\/p>\n

\n

Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Case study must be related to real-life applications<\/li>\n
  • Practitioners or academicians can join the competition<\/li>\n
  • Papers can be industry projects as part of a course or co-op\/internship, or research projects done at the academic institution.<\/li>\n
  • The paper must be presented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    IEOM Competition Rubrics<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Overall content: 1-5 points<\/li>\n
    • Data analysis and results: 1-5 points<\/li>\n
    • Presentation skills: 1-5 points<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of the topic \/ confident: 1-5 points<\/li>\n
    • Answering questions: 1-5 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Publication and Indexing \u2013 Proceedings<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Papers will be published in the proceedings with DOI at IEOM Index. Your papers will be in open access with ISSN and ISBN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n

        Paper Guidelines:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        Authors must follow the IEOM paper guidelines (under Authors menu) since the winning papers will be published in the conference proceedings.<\/p>\n

        \n

        Submission:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        Each paper must be submitted online.<\/p>\n

        \n

        Judging:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        A group of academics \/ professionals will serve as judge. Scoring rubrics will be used for both parts of the judging.<\/p>\n

        \n

        Winners:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
