About the Workshop<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

By explicitly aligning GenAI use with Universal Design for Learning principles, this workshop offers a practical and inclusive approach to educational innovation in management education. It moves beyond risk\u2011focused narratives to demonstrate how GenAI, when intentionally designed and critically engaged with, can enhance learner participation, understanding, and agency in diverse classrooms.<\/p>\n

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Explain how Generative AI can be used to operationalise the core principles of Universal Design for Learning (engagement, representation, and action and expression) in management education.<\/li>\n
  2. Apply Generative AI to design inclusive learning activities that provide flexible entry points, enhance student engagement, and accommodate learner variability in management classrooms.<\/li>\n
  3. Design GenAI supported teaching and assessment practices that align with UDL principles while maintaining academic integrity and alignment with learning outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The workshop is intended for management and business educators, teaching\u2011focused academics, and educational developers interested in inclusive pedagogy, active learning, and responsible GenAI integration.     \"\"Dr Arshia Kaul<\/span><\/strong>

    Dr Arshia Kaul is a Lecturer in Management in the School of Business and Law at the School of Business and Law, Central Queensland University, Melbourne campus, with over a decade of experience in higher education across Australia and internationally. Her experience spans leading Australian institutions, including the University of Melbourne and Federation University. Her research spans Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Education 4.0, and Sustainable Development across organisational contexts. To date, she has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles published in leading international journals, including several ranked in the ABDC categories (8 A and 4 B, 1 C). In addition to journal publications, she has developed two teaching cases published through Ivey Publishing\u2014one on Rebel Foods and another on RampMyCity\u2014as well as a case study on SecondBite Australia published with Sage Business Cases. She is a reviewer for the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) and a Steering Committee member of the PRME Working Group on Disability, Neurodiversity and Mental Health Inclusion. One of her most recent articles – Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on Business Education: Insights from a Scoping Review\u201d is now published in the Journal of Management and Organisation (Kaul et\u202fal., 2026).<\/p>\n

    Dr Imran Ali<\/span><\/strong>

    Dr Imran Ali is an Associate Professor and Discipline Leader in Management and Innovation at the School of Business and Law, Central Queensland University, Melbourne campus, where he leads a team of academics and drives excellence in learning and teaching. He has played a key role in developing new subjects and programs, responding to evolving industry needs, particularly in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and the future of work. His scholarship in learning and teaching includes published case studies, research articles, leadership in learning and teaching initiatives, and contributions to a grant on the ethical use of generative AI in higher education. Dr Ali has also published over 75 articles in leading journals and has been recognised among Stanford University\u2019s top 2% most cited researchers in Business and Management (2024, 2025). He serves on several editorial boards and is committed to innovative, industry-engaged education.<\/p>\n

    Dr Aman Ullah holds a doctoral degree in Human Resource Management from Deakin University, demonstrating his strong academic background in the HRM field. With over 15 years of academic experience at Australian universities, Aman has a solid foundation in human resource management theory. In addition to his academic background, Aman has led high-performance teams at major multinational organisations such as Novartis and Servier Pharmaceuticals, bringing a unique blend of academic rigour and practical industry insights. This combined experience allows Aman to connect theoretical ideas with real-world business practices in his teaching. He is a reviewer for the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA, Australia and New Zealand of Academy of Management (ANZAM) and MOBTS. He also reviewed several journal articles for leading journals such as Journal of Knowledge Management and Management Decisions. One of her most recent articles – Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on Business Education: Insights from a Scoping Review,\u201d is now published in the Journal of Management and Organisation, an ABDC \u2013 A-ranked journal.<\/p>\n
