She is currently a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, holding Master of Technology Degree in Operations Management. Ms. Thaba serves at the Department of Transport and Supply Chain Management, lecturing 3rd-year students on Purchasing and 4th-year students on Logistics Processes and Practices. Ms Thaba’s research area are enterprise development, Sustainable Supply Chain Management and Cooperatives. She has so far published one book-chapter and 25 peer-reviewed international conferences papers. She has 34 Google Scholar citations with three h-index, and 1 I10- Index. She is awarded Academic Doctorate Advancement Project towards Transformation (ADAPTT) Scholarship, which is the collaboration of University of Florida (USA) and South Africa Higher Education (SA-HE) Network (UJ). Sebonkile received three global prestige’s awards from Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM)-International Society, Best Track Paper Award, Outstanding Service Award and Teaching & Learning Award in Supply Chain Management. She is a Track Chair for Waste Management and Supply Chain Management, Annual International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. Sebonkile formed part of the diversity and Inclusion panelist from the 2nd African International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Harare Zimbabwe, December 2021
Ms. Thaba currently is working on two projects, on Enterprise Development, which is Sustainable Supply Chain Management on Agricultural Farming Industry and Social Value Chain Economy within Local Community Enterprises. She currently a PhD candidate at University of Johannesburg, with a proposed title: Deconstructing the Social in Sustainable Supply Chain Management for African Farmers.

Ahad Ali is an Associate Professor and Director of Industrial Engineering Programs (BSIE & MSIE), Director of Graduate Certificate in Lean Six Sigma and Director of Smart Manufacturing and Lean Systems Research Group, A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical, Robotics and Industrial Engineering at the Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan, USA. He established Siemens Electro-Matic Industrial Engineering Lab at LTU in 2019. Dr. Ali was the primary author of the ABET self-study report of the BSIE Program at LTU in 2022. He earned B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, Masters in Systems and Engineering Management from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. Dr. Ali was Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez, Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Toledo and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Khulna. He received an Outstanding Professor Award of the Industrial Engineering Department, University of Puerto Rico -Mayaguez, (2006-2007). He has published 60 journal and 150 conference papers. Dr Ali has conducted research projects with Chrysler, Ford, DTE Energy, New Center Stamping, Whelan Co., Delphi Automotive System, GE Medical Systems, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, International Truck and Engine Corporation (ITEC), National/Panasonic Electronics, and Rockwell Automation. His research interests include manufacturing systems modeling, simulation and optimization, intelligent scheduling and planning, artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, e-manufacturing, and lean manufacturing. He supervised 11 doctoral students. Dr. Ali has involved with many international conference committees. He is the Founder of IEOM Society International and serving as an Executive Director. Dr. Ali serves as a Conference Co-Chair of the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management and organized events in Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Bali, Dubai, Orlando, Detroit, Rabat, UK, Bogota, Paris, Washington, DC, Pretoria, Bangkok, Pilsen, Toronto, Costa Rica, Sao Paulo, India, Riyadh, Manila and Sydney. Rajeev Agrawal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical, at the Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He has more than 24 years of Professional Experience. Dr. Agrawal was an Assistant Professor in Production Engineering at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra Ranchi India, and a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the HCET, Jabalpur (M.P.) India. He earned B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from G.E.C. Jabalpur (M.P), India in 1998, Masters in 2001 from M.N.N.I.T., Allahabad, and Ph. D. in 2012 from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi).He established CAD Lab at HCET Jabalpur in 2001 and CAM Lab at BIT Mesra in 2017. He was a Production Division Board member, The Institution of Engineers (I).(2015-16), and a Board member, of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi), 2015-16.Dr Agrawal serves on the editorial board of three international journals and has guest edited special issues in around 10 journals and books, has published 30 journals and 71 conference papers. He has also published book chapters on Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing Integration of Process Planning and Scheduling, Smart Actuators, Sustainable Manufacturing and Reconfigurable Assembly Systems etc. with renowned international publishers. He is a recognized reviewer of reputed international SCI Journals and Conferences. Dr. Agrawal has research funding from major funding agencies including ICSSR, MSME, ADA, GOI, under NPMASS, and IE(I). Dr. Agrawal is a Coordinator, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India “Design Expertise for Manufacturing MSME sectors. Dr. Agrawal research interest is on Lean Six Sigma, Sustainable Manufacturing, Supply Chain Design, Solving real-life Operations management related problems, Automation in Manufacturing, and reconfigurable manufacturing systems. His project got accolades from Home Guard and Civil Defense, Madhya Pradesh for “proposing the optimal locations for the emergency operation centers across Madhya Pradesh. His projects included, “Facility Location and Product Flow Optimization, using Spatial and Network Analysis in GIS” at the MP Council of Science and Technology. Bhopal. He implemented “Warehouse Location Optimization for different Telecom Circles across India” in a leading Telecom Company. He led a project in “Supply chain network optimization” at a beverage company. His projects included “Application of multi-threading to parallelize an industrial process control program based on the technique of Differential Evolution” in a leading Steel company. His project team proposed a “Model of a Fuzzy Autonomation System” for a Steel Wire Roll Mill. His work includes Process excellence in the IT sector in an emerging economic scenario. Prof. Guilherme F. Frederico is a Professor of Operations, Supply Chain and Project Management at Federal University of Paraná – UFPR – School of Management, Curitiba, Brazil. He works by teaching and leading researches in the graduate programs (PhD and MSc in Information Management and Master in Business Administration) and undergraduate programs (Business Management) at UFPR. Also, Prof. Frederico has been working in collaboration with the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement at University of Derby – UK as a Visiting Professor and affiliated Researcher. His research interests and expertise on Supply Chain Management field are related to Maturity and Performance Measurement, Project Management, Knowledge Management, Strategic Sourcing and Impacts from Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Cemalettin Ozturk (Cemal) is a Lecturer in Logistics & Supply Chain Management at Munster Technology University and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) funded Principal Investigator. He has 20 years of experience in various organizations as a project coordinator, technical contributor, and scientist in the area of smart manufacturing, supply chain management, data and decision analytics applications in different domains.
He is working with commercial and open-source tools for developing, implementing, and teaching mathematical and constraint programming, heuristics, digital twins, and analytic solutions. Before joining MTU he worked in Raytheon Technologies Research Center Ireland, Insight Centre for Data Analytics at University College Cork, and Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Engineering in Turkey.
