Ms Thao Nguyen
Vietnam
My name is Nguyen Huynh. Originally, I was born in Vietnam – a developing country, and in an ordinary family. Fortunately, it was a time of peace and the economic transition period. Therefore, my childhood was not too difficult as my parents’ childhood, but it was challenged enough for growing up. Thanks for that I could not only receive a good education but also practice many life skills to live independently. Also, I really enjoy 7 years studying and working in United Kingdom provided me many interesting experiences. After Covid-19 epidemic, I decided to back to Vietnam then found a chance to develop myself here.
From primary school until graduation, I received a lot of encouragement and support of my family to my studying. This also brought to me a good awareness about studying. Although, I’m not always strictly in line with the good result, fortunately I got distinction for my master degree of International Management major at the university of the West of England after graduating Business Management Bachelor at the same university.
After graduation I dreamed to work in academic area. However, my career way is not as straight forward as my intention. I relised that I may need more practical knowledge to develop myself. At the present, I have worked as a secretary in Thanh Binh Phu My company in Viet Nam. Prior to be a secretary, I experienced in many kinds of job and industries from United Kingdom to Vietnam, such as: beauty industry, pharmaceutical and grocery as a customer assistant in Boots Ltd in UK, food and beverage as a human manager in a restaurant, marketing executive in My Xuan port. Thanks to that, the jobs have brought to me a lot of practical knowledge and help me to realize that learning the knowledge and applying the knowledge is different. Otherwise, the practical knowledge can help to enhance the literature one.
Specifically, the recent job in Thanh Binh Phu My company who is the main investor and manager Phu My 3 specialized industry can help me feel the gap between literature and practice with a lot of knowledge about industry real estate, industrial park management, supply chain, logistic. Especially, Phu My 3 specialised industrial park is the only one specialized industrial park in Vietnam which brings many new concepts to me and help me chase my academic goal in the future.
