The IEOM World Congress Conference provides a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to network, exchange ideas and to discuss the most recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The theme of the conference is “Advance Manufacturing Technologies and Digitization including vehicle electrification and smart mobility”.  The conference aims to provide a forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and recent developments in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies, manufacturing digitalization, artificial intelligence in manufacturing, smart manufacturing, vehicle electrification, smart mobility, industrial automation and manufacturing operations excellence. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration, and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in advanced and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and digitalization. The event is a three-day conference in which students will participate in keynotes focusing on advanced manufacturing & digitalization, AI in manufacturing, digital twin, technical sessions, workshops on vehicle eletrificaiton and smart maobility, . It will address advanced manufacturing topics including EV, smart mobility, automotive supply chain, smart manufacturing, factory floor automation, robotics integration in manufacturing, PLC, digital twin, etc.

The innovative global event encourages international exchange, collaboration and joint research among conference participants that has resulted in advancing the theory and practice of industrial engineering and operations management. The global perspective of this conference fosters an environment that identifies major trends in the profession. Attendance at the 2024 IEOM Detroit Conference is expected to exceed 250 and will include faculty, industry leaders and students.
