By Train

Bangalore has several railway stations.

KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station / Bangalore City Railway Station

This is one of the most convenient stations for participants attending the conference at FKCCI because it is located in the Majestic area, close to central Bangalore.

The Bangalore City Railway Station is officially listed at M.G. Railway Colony, Majestic, Bengaluru 560023.

From the station, participants can use:

  • Taxi / Uber
  • Auto-rickshaw
  • Bangalore Metro
  • Local buses

Hotels in the Majestic and Gandhi Nagar areas are particularly convenient for travelers arriving by train.

Bangalore Metro

The Namma Metro provides convenient transportation within central Bangalore.

For FKCCI, staying in the central city area allows participants to combine metro + short taxi/auto rides depending on their hotel location.

Weather & Travel Information

Weather in Bangalore – November 5–7, 2026

November is generally a pleasant time to visit Bangalore (Bengaluru). The city has a relatively mild climate compared with many other parts of India.

Historical November averages are approximately:

  • Daytime: 27°C / 81°F
  • Nighttime: 18°C / 65°F
  • Rainfall: Lower than October, although occasional rain is still possible.

Conference participants should expect comfortable mornings and evenings and warm afternoons. A light jacket or sweater may be useful for early mornings and evenings, while lightweight business or business-casual clothing is appropriate during the day.

Because November can still experience occasional showers, participants are advised to carry a small umbrella or light rain jacket.

Money, Credit Cards & Cash in India

The official currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR / ₹).

International visitors should plan to use a combination of credit/debit cards and Indian rupee cash.

Credit & Debit Cards

Major international credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted at:

  • Hotels
  • Major restaurants
  • Shopping malls
  • Airports
  • Larger stores
  • Many conference-related businesses

American Express and other cards may have more limited acceptance.

Participants should notify their bank before traveling and make sure their cards are enabled for international transactions.

Cash

It is recommended that international participants carry some Indian rupees in cash for smaller purchases and locations where cards may not be accepted.

Cash can be useful for:

  • Small restaurants
  • Local shops
  • Auto-rickshaws
  • Small vendors
  • Tips
  • Local transportation
  • Rural areas and locations around BESTIU

Participants can exchange foreign currency at authorized exchange counters or withdraw Indian rupees from ATMs.

ATMs

ATMs are widely available in Bangalore, including at and around the airport, major hotels, shopping centers, and commercial areas.

International debit and credit cards may be used at ATMs that support the relevant card network. Check with your bank regarding foreign transaction fees, ATM fees, and daily withdrawal limits before traveling.

UPI and Mobile Payments

UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is extremely common throughout India and is widely used for everyday payments.

However, visitors from outside India should not rely exclusively on UPI, because setting up and using UPI can depend on the user’s bank, mobile number, and payment provider.

For international visitors, the safest approach is:

Credit/Debit Card + Some Indian Rupee Cash + Mobile Payment where available

Currency Exchange

Participants should exchange money only through authorized banks or licensed currency-exchange providers and keep receipts for currency-exchange transactions.

Avoid exchanging large amounts of cash through unauthorized individuals or informal vendors.

Before Traveling to India

International participants should:

  • Notify their bank of international travel.
  • Confirm that credit/debit cards are enabled for international transactions.
  • Check foreign-exchange and international transaction fees.
  • Carry at least one backup card.
  • Keep some emergency cash
