There are various levels of readiness of engineering graduates from various parts of the world. One of the main themes is how to reduce the readiness gap of business management graduates around the world. The special focus is given to operations management, management science, supply chain management, business analytics, and logistics management. Are the graduates ready to take on the challenges of the current global economy? IEOM Harbin Conference will have a dedicated session for the Global Business Management Education / Global Supply Chain Management Education where distinguished speakers will discuss the readiness of business management graduates for workforce around the world. Featured speakers will be from various part of the world to address business management education challenges and opportunities.

Associate Professor Dr. Au Yong Hui Nee holds a PhD degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a graduate of MA Economics from University of Tsukuba in Japan. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). She was sponsored to attend Impact Evaluation Methods by World Bank Group and Women’s Director Programme by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM).
Dr. Au Yong was trained in commercial and investment banks. Prior to joining academia, she held managerial positions at Fortune 500 multinational corporations and a state agency. She has close to two decades of extensive experience managing information system, environment safety & health and supply chain & logistics and compliance risk management. She was a registered Safety and Health Officer, an IRCA Quality Lead Auditor and management representative of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
Furthermore, Dr. Au Yong has published over thirty articles in SSCI/Scopus-indexed journals. She serves as a chief editor of China’s Belt and Road Initiative book published by World Scientific Publishing (Singapore), an editor for five international journals and a reviewer for fifteen SSCI/SCIE-indexed international journals. She has completed research and consulting projects for local and international clients (Japan and Pakistan). She has received over USD150,000 of research grants. Presently Dr. Edly Ramly is Certification Director and Lead Auditor for various certification schemes including ISO/TS16949. Apart from auditing, he is currently Business Excellence Assessor, Exemplar Global Lead Auditor trainers for Quality (ISO9001. Environment (ISO14001) and Safety (ISO45001) management system. Dr. Ramly actively conducting research, consultation and trainings to local and multi-national companies that seek operational improvement and breakthrough. His industrial experience was in the automotive industry. During his stayed with the TRW Automotive, he was tasked with the responsibility of promoting and implementing Lean and Six-Sigma within the Organization. Due to his extensive exposure in Lean and Six-Sigma Management System, he was invited by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Asia Productivity Organization (APO) to conduct training in the area of Lean and Six-Sigma implementation. Dr. Ramly graduated from University of Bradford, UK with Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing System with Management. He then furthered his studies at Sheffield Hallam University, UK and awarded with a Master Degree of Science in Engineering with Management and Ph.D. from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia.

Prior to Pepsico, he worked at AGCO Corporation, a leading ag global industry, where he was a key player to launch global new products as well as migrating to digital manufacturing environment by launching the Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management system and introducing new change management and electronic work instruction to eliminate paper prints. He also worked at CNH Industrial and Linde Bangladesh Limited. He has an advanced degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University, USA. He has Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Dr. Teresa Verduzco-Garza, is a professor and researcher for the Engineering School in University of Monterrey, Mexico (UDEM) at the Industrial and Systems Engineering department.
Her research and experience focuses on Clusters for competitiveness, Logistics clusters, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Strategy.
Received her Ph.D. Degree in Management for Supply Chains from the UANL Autonomous University in Nuevo Leon, Mexico during 2018.
Developed a combined research stay at Orkestra Institute for Cluster and Competitiveness and Deusto University in Basque Country, Spain during 2019.
She has previous experience in the industry, holding positions as project manager, account manager, Corporate Strategic Planning, Geographic Expansion among others, in important worldwide recognized enterprises.
Nowadays, she works with important clusters in Mexico, developing supply chain and Logistics Synergies (Co-Loading) projects for competitiveness in the Automotive cluster (CLAUT) and Electrical Appliances cluster (CLELAC), as well as strategic planning initiatives, supply chain network mapping for Agrifood cluster (Agro Alim).
Teresa has published his works in journals with national and international scientific circulation, has participated as a speaker in important conferences in forums such as IEOM, SISE, IISE, ASEM, TCI Global Conferences in countries such as the USA, Colombia, South Korea, Canada, the Netherlands, France and other European countries.
Additionally, she is an active member of IEOM, APICS and TCI Network International Competitiveness Institute, as well as of the Harvard Business School network of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.
