IEOM Society International addresses the issues of Global Supply Chain and Logistics .There are various levels of readiness of SCM graduates from various parts of the world. One of the main themes is how to reduce the readiness gap of SCM graduates around the world. The special focus is given to operations management, management science, supply chain management, business analytics, and logistics management. Are the graduates ready to take on the challenges of the current global economy? Featured speakers will be from various part of the world to address supply chain and logistics education challenges and opportunities.

His areas of interest include Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Modeling and Simulation. He has over 123 publications including 63 papers in SCI/Scopus journals and published 06 Book Chapters. He has successfully guided 12 Research Scholars and 06 are in progress. He has also guided more than 67 M. Tech theses. He is a member of editorial board and guest editor of about 6 journals. He is also reviewer for some journals from Emerald, Elsevier and Taylor & Francis publishers. Dr. Jitesh J. Thakkar is a Professor and Director of MBA & BBA programs at National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), Vadodara – India’s first University dedicated in the field of Rail and Transportation education. He has served as a faculty at Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, IIT Kharagpur for 10 years. He has professional experience of more than 22 years. He holds a Ph.D in Supply Chain Management from IIT Delhi, M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from IIT Delhi and Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering conferred with Gold Medal from one of the oldest Government Engineering College – Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College, Sardar Patel University. His areas of interests include Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Project Management, Service Operations Management, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Optimization, Statistical Modeling and System Dynamics. He has supervised 13 Ph.D and 80 B.Tech. / M.Tech. projects at IIT Kharagpur. He is a productive researcher with Hindex 33 and 75 research papers published in SCI/SCOPUS listed journals. The research papers are published in high impact factor, A* & A grade journals of ABDC (Australian Business Deans Council) such as International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research (Part-E), International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Production Planning and Control, Expert Systems with Applications, Journal of Cleaner Production. He has published three books – Structural Equation Modeling, MultiCriteria Decision Making and Project Management with Springer. He is contributing as Associate Editor of the journals – i) International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Emerald and ii) OPSEARCH, Springer. He has executed number of large scale research and consultancy projects sponsored by DST, DRDO, NLC, ICSSR, and MHRD. He has extended training/consulting to various organizations such as L&T, DRDO, Food Corporation of India, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, Tata Steel, Tata Hitachi, Essar Steel, Ordnance Factory, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., Godrej, Qatar Chemical. Dr. Faisal Hasan is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University. He has more than 19 years experience in teaching and research. He has obtained his PhD in the area of Manufacturing System from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His teaching and research areas are manufacturing systems, human factors and operations management. He has published papers about 96 papers in National, International Conferences and Journals like International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Operations, Occupational Ergonomics, Work, International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and International Journal of Operations Management. He has also edited book chapters in conference proceedings. Beside this, he has attended and presented papers at various national and international conferences of repute. Dr. S Venkataramanaiah (S Venkat) is a Professor of Operations Management at IIM Lucknow and has 30 years of experience in teaching and research. He was a Postdoctoral Research fellow at Singapore MIT Alliance (SMA) Program, Nanyang Business School Singapore, worked at Honeywell Singapore as a SCM Lead Engineer. He worked at IIT Madras and IIM Indore and IIM Kozhikode before joining IIM Lucknow in May 2013. He has published more than 100 research papers in peer reviewed international journals and international conferences. He was a Best teacher award winner, Fulbright Scholar to USA and undergone training on global participant centered learning at Harvard Business School, USA. He is a certified professional in Lean Healthcare. He is a recipient of Nelson Mandela Leadership award and Jagatik Ayurvigyan Samman Award for his seminal work in the area of healthcare management. He has trained more than 400 MBA students on healthcare management during last three years from four premier management schools in India. He has carried out number of consultancy projects and offered executive development programmes for reputed organisations. He was also a jury member of Young Innovators award selection team. He is also a mentor for Startups in healthcare and supply chain management. He has won eight awards over last 25 years. He is also a marathon runner.
