Md Mamunur Rahman works as a postdoctoral research fellow at Idaho National Laboratory, Idaho, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA in 2020. His research interests include agent-based modeling, discrete event simulation, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning with applications in transportation, supply chain resilience, green logistics, healthcare, and process improvement. To date, Dr. Rahman has authored 15 scientific articles in leading journals, and conferences with 2 book chapters. One of his articles received the best paper award in the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers annual conference 2019, and another one received the best paper finalist award in the Computation Social Science Society of the Americas 2018 annual conference. Dr. Rahman is the author of “PyEmission”, a Python library for vehicular emission estimation, and the lead developer of the software “Recycle Planner”, an optimization tool for electronic waste recycling processes. While integrating the management methods of Dr. Deming with Genichi Taguchi’s “Quality by Design” system and Russ Ackoff’s systems thinking, coupled with Edward de Bono’s thinking tools, he pioneered the development and application of ideas that include Mixed Model Management, Macro System Models, Micro System Models, Purposeful Resource Leadership, Category & Continuum Thinking, and Investment Thinking. Bill’s teaching has included time at Northwestern University, as well as corporate, university, and public classes across the United Kingdom. Bill earned his BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. In addition to his employment by Rocketdyne, Bill worked as a heat transfer engineer in the gas turbine industry for Textron Lycoming in Stratford, Connecticut.Bill serves as chairman of the Deming Medal Committee for the American Society of Quality and is a columnist for the UK’s Lean Management Journal. He lives in Santa Clarita, California with his wife, Monica.

Dr. Payman Jula is a Professor at Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University (SFU), Vancouver, Canada, where he teaches courses related to operations management, and decision making under uncertainty. Payman has a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and an MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, both from the University of California at Berkeley.His research interests are in transportation and logistics, and applications of operations management in the manufacturing and service (particularly healthcare delivery) industries. Payman has studied the economics of Asia – North America supply chains. He has worked with many international high tech companies, including Samsung Semiconductor, Cypress Semiconductor, Micron Technology, and IMFlash Technologies on issues related to cycle time reduction, production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management. He is responsible to oversee Process /Personal and Behavioral Safety of the entire company by planning and implementing an international safety management system to ensure that the company is complying and adheres to excellent safety performance. Ali is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work in a safe manner to guarantee the Sustainable Safe Production. He graduated from the Sharif University of Technology-Iran in 2015 with a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering-System Management & Productivity. His professional interest focuses on safety improvement plan designing and implementation in Oil & Gas based companies.
