Title: Can artificial intelligence (AI) predict and/or mitigate supply chain disruptions?
Abstract: Several supply chain disruptions were experienced last year in the United States: The Food supply shortage due to the winter storm in Texas & the one due to Los Angeles and Long Beach ports congestion are just the two major ones. These are of course in addition to the global interruptions in supply chains related to the Pandemic. In cases of unpredictable accidents, such as the Suez Canal blockage, how to mitigate such disasters remain a challenge. The focus of this paper is on how logistics and supply chain management professionals can adopt artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to possibly predict and prepare for such supply chain disruptions.
