Planned Activity Purpose / Expected Outcome
Research Seminar Series Present ongoing research projects, student findings, methodologies, and emerging topics in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, AI, Operations Research, and Quality Management.
Industry Problem-Solving Challenge Companies present a real operational, technological, quality, logistics, or data-related problem for students to analyze and propose solutions.
Lean Six Sigma Workshop and Certification Train students in DMAIC, process improvement, problem-solving tools, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement. Students may pursue White Belt or Yellow Belt certification.
Data Analytics & AI for Industry Workshop Apply Python, Power BI, machine learning, or AI tools to industrial and organizational datasets.
Industry Speaker Series Invite professionals and executives to discuss current industry challenges, digital transformation, sustainability, quality, operations, cybersecurity, and AI.
Alumni Networking Sessions Connect current students with alumni to learn about career paths, professional challenges, postgraduate studies, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities.
Research-to-Industry Webinar Series Present how academic research can address real organizational problems and generate measurable impact.
Resume & LinkedIn Workshop Strengthen students’ resumes, LinkedIn profiles, professional portfolios, and strategies for internships and employment.
Mock Interview and Assessment Center Simulate recruitment processes, technical interviews, case analyses, teamwork exercises, and professional presentations.
Research Bootcamp Training in literature review, Scopus/Web of Science searches, scientific writing, research methodology, statistics, and reference management.
Scientific Writing Workshop Prepare students to transform research projects into conference papers, posters, articles, or technical reports.
Student Research Conference Organize an annual event where students present posters, papers, prototypes, simulations, or applied projects.
International Research Webinar Invite professors and researchers from international partner universities to present research opportunities and collaborative projects.
International Collaborative Project / COIL Develop short research or problem-solving projects with students from partner universities abroad.
Company Technical Visits Visit manufacturing plants, logistics centers, hospitals, technology companies, data centers, or service organizations to observe real processes.
Process Improvement Kaizen Event Conduct a short improvement intervention using Lean tools such as 5S, VSM, waste identification, standard work, or visual management.
Simulation and Optimization Challenge Model an industrial or service process using simulation, optimization, operations research, or digital twins.
Professional Certification Roadmap Introduce students to certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, Power BI, AWS, Azure, Python, cybersecurity, or project management.
Mentoring Program Senior students and alumni mentor new members in research, professional development, conference participation, and career planning.
