*Description of Activity:

The Inauguration Ceremony of the IEOM (Industrial Engineering and Operations Management) Student Chapter at HITAM was held with grandeur and significance, marking a proud moment for the institution. The event took place in the presence of esteemed guests, college dignitaries, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.

The ceremony was honored by the Chief Guests, Dr. Qutubuddin S. M and Dr. Manzoor Hussain, both respected academicians and professionals in the field of Industrial Engineering. Their presence added great value to the occasion as they shared insightful thoughts on the importance of such platforms in shaping the future of engineering students.”

Supporting the initiative were key members of the HITAM management, including the Dr. S Arvind Principal, PVR Subramanyam Registrar, Dr. Sohum Sohoni  Director of HITAM, whose encouragement and guidance played a crucial role in establishing the student chapter. Their speeches inspired the students and emphasized the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

The event witnessed the official launch of the IEOM Student Chapter at HITAM, marked by the dignitaries lighting the ceremonial lamp. A special highlight of the event was the video messages from Dr. Ahad Ali and Dr. Don Reimer of IEOM. Dr. Ahad Ali, the Chief Executive Director of IEOM, congratulated the institution on initiating the chapter and extended his heartfelt wishes to the Chapter Advisor and Core Team Members. He encouraged the team to lead with vision and dedication, engaging in activities that promote research, innovation, and global collaboration in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.

The inauguration also included the formal introduction and felicitation of the core team, followed by a presentation outlining the chapter’s objectives, upcoming activities, and future roadmap. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, and volunteers for their support and contributions to the successful launch.

This ceremony marked a new beginning for the students of HITAM, providing them with a professional platform to enhance their knowledge, leadership, and industry engagement under the global umbrella of IEOM.
