IEOM Society International is organizing the 8th South American Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, Cartagena, Colombia, April 5-7, 2027. Host is the Fundación Universitaria Tecnologico Comfenalco Cartagena, Colombia. The conference will provide an opportunity for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and explore recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration, and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.

The IEOM Society International, a nonprofit professional organization registered in Michigan, USA, is a premier global platform dedicated to the advancement of industrial engineering and operations management discipline for the betterment of humanity. IEOM is a global platform for academics, researchers, scientists, and practitioners to exchange ideas. Most importantly, it provides insights into the latest technologies, tools and advancements in the fields of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. Double Peer Review

All full papers undergo a rigorous double peer-review process. Authors may submit full papers, abstracts, or posters; however, the IEOM Society strongly encourages the submission of full papers. Manuscripts must be prepared using the official IEOM conference template. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN and ISSN, assigned a DOI via CrossRef, and indexed in recognized databases including EBSCO, Google Scholar, IEOM Index, etc.

Presentation Requirements and Q&A

Submission of a paper or abstract implies that at least one author will attend the IEOM Conference and deliver an oral presentation, either onsite or virtually. All presentations will include an open question-and-answer session.

Each technical paper presentation is allocated 15 minutes total, consisting of 12 minutes for the presentation followed by 3 minutes for Q&A.
