Dr. Noha Mostafa is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management in The British University in Egypt. She got B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Zagazig University. In 2016, she was a visiting PhD student in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and she finished her PhD degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2017 from Egypt-Japan University, specialising in supply chain management. She also has a Diploma in Innovation and Change Management from Germany.
Dr. Noha has broad expertise including operations management, lean manufacturing, sustainability, plant layout, design thinking, Industry 4.0, and energy management. She has published about 50 papers in international journals and conferences and has been working in training and consultation for 15 years. She has participated in events in more than 20 countries and was an invited speaker in several international events through which she has built a strong global network in academia and industry. She was awarded ‘Outstanding faculty advisor award’ in 2018 and in 2020 from Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society, USA. And is currently serving as Global Ambassador of Sustainability, KSA, mentor in Egypt Scholars, Inc, and Head of IEOM advisory board in Egypt.
Dr. Noha is active in social and community activities, giving special interest in women empowerment, health awareness, climate causes, and education reform. She has diverse hobbies including traveling, reading, movies, music, history, art, and hiking. She believes that it is necessary to have artistic, cultural, and political interests that complement the character of a human being, even if his work is scientific like her career of engineering.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Lamia Shihata is a university professor for industrial Engineering in the German University in Cairo. Prof. Shihata studied mechanical engineering, specializing in Design and Production Engineering (Industrial Engineering) in Ain Shams University.
Dr. Shihata served as trainer and consultant for several industrial firms. She is the author of several scientific publications and conference proceedings, and the editor of a books. Her research interests include Production Planning and control, digital technologies, industry 4.0, Sustainable production and digitalization of production processes. Since 2017 she has headed the research group “Sustainable Production” and currently building a new group related to Life Cycle Engineering.
Prof. Shihata organized several symposiums on Sustainable Production and Material and Energy flow analysis in cooperation with German institutes and several manufacturing organizations. She has several publications in this field in reputable international journals and conferences in addition to industrial collaborations with the objective of sustainable development in general, material and energy flow analysis and life cycle analysis in particular. She is a reviewer for several journals.
Dr. Nermine Harraz (Member 2023 – )

Prof. Harraz earned her PhD. In the field of Industrial Engineering in Management from Alexandria University. She has more than 30 years of higher education experience, she supervised more than 30 MSc and PhD theses. Prof Harraz served as industry consultant and trainer. Harraz has more than 50 refereed publications and acted as PI for a number of research and institutional support projects.
Her recent research interest lies in the field of logistics, supply chain management, big data analysis and analytics. In her career path she was among a team responsible for the establishment of a new university with international partnership, in addition to the creation of a new department “Industrial Engineering and Management”. The department came to light characterized by originality in the design of curriculum, labs and research strategy. The designed curriculum succeeded to attract Egyptian and international students. She also managed to get support grants for the foundation, the operation and training of staff (capacity building) of an industry liaison, patents and technology transfer office. The office was established on time and within budget to close the circle of knowledge economy and to contribute to the rank of the university through patents application and to its income through technology commercialization

Since 2016, Prof. Khaled El Sakty has served as the Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. In addition, Dr. El-Sakty holds several prestigious positions, including Visiting Professor at many universities across the world.
Dr. El Sakty obtained his PhD from the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom, and he continues to pursue continuous learning and professional development through the acquisition of numerous professional certificates. Additionally, he holds the accreditation of a certified industrial engineer (CIE) in supply chain from Missouri State University, USA.
Dr. El Sakty’s commitment to advancing research and knowledge in his field is evident through his membership in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt. He also serves as the head of the technical office of logistics affairs in the Arab region. Furthermore, he plays a vital role in supervising the FIATA Diploma in Cairo.
With extensive experience in the industry, Dr. El Sakty has held various positions as an international business consultant, certified trainer, and team leader in mega national projects across different countries.
As a recognized authority in his field, Dr. El Sakty is frequently invited to be a keynote speaker at various academic conferences and seminars, where he shares his knowledge and insights with diverse audiences. His research findings and expertise have been published in numerous international journals.
Dr. El-Sakty is an active member of esteemed professional societies, including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK since 2000 and the Arab Scientific Association for Transport in Egypt.
He has been the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the ESPO II award in 2011 in Greece and the HNI award in 2016.
In 2019, he established the first bachelor’s degree program in oil and gas logistics management in Egypt, further demonstrating his dedication to education and the development of future industry professionals. In 2020, his college received the prestigious EU accreditation FIBAA golden seal for logistics studies, making it the first college in Egypt to achieve this recognition.
In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Dr. El Sakty was appointed as a Member of the Internal and International Land Transport Regulatory Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2021. This appointment highlights his commitment to shaping policies and regulations to drive positive change in the transportation sector.

Mohammed Hamed Ahmed Soliman is an industrial engineer, consultant, university lecturer, operational excellence leader, and author. He works as a lecturer at the American University in Cairo and as a consultant for several international industrial organizations.
Soliman earned BSc of Engineering and MSc. in Quality Management. He is currently pursuing PhD in Management of Technology. He earned post-graduate degrees in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. He holds numerous certificates in management, industry, quality, and cost engineering.
Soliman has lectured at Princess Noura University and trained the maintenance team in Vale Oman Pelletizing Company. He has been lecturing at The American University in Cairo for 8 years and has designed and delivered 40 leadership and technical skills enhancement training modules. He has published more than 20 business books. His writings on lean manufacturing, leadership, productivity, and business appear in Industrial Engineers, Lean Thinking, Industrial Management, and Sage Publications.

Randa El Bedawy

Randa El Bedawy received her PhD in 2009 from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University; her concentration was quality assurance and higher education accreditation. She got her master of public administration in 2002 with the highest honors from the American University in Cairo (AUC), and her concentration was environmental administration. El Bedawy got her Bachelor of Arts with the highest honors from AUC in 1993. Her major was business administration, with a minor in economics. El Bedawy is active in research through international journal publications, conference presentations, and membership in various editorial boards. El Bedawy’s research interests are related to higher education management; organization behavior and development; entrepreneurship and innovation management; and environmental sustainability.
El Bedawy acquires more than 19 years of teaching experience, she was previously the director of the quality assurance office (2007-2010) and the acting head of the Management and Marketing Department at the Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade (2009-1018) at Misr International University. El Bedawy received the INJAZ Egypt award for her dedication to the students in the Young Entrepreneurs Competitions in 2011 and 2016. El Bedawy is a former external examiner for the Executive Master of Public Administration Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, Dubai (2018-2019).
