IEOM Society International addresses the issues of Global Supply Chain and Logistics. There are various levels of readiness of engineering graduates from various parts of the world. One of the main themes is how to reduce the readiness gap of business management graduates around the world. The special focus is given to operations management, management science, supply chain management, business analytics, and logistics management. Are the graduates ready to take on the challenges of the current global economy? IEOM India Conference will have a dedicated session for the Global Business Management Education where distinguished speakers will discuss the readiness of business management graduates for workforce around the world. Featured speakers will be from various part of the world to address business management education challenges and opportunities.

Dr. Gaurav Kabra earned his PhD in the area of Supply Chain Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He holds a B.Tech (Information Technology) and MBA from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior (IIITM Gwalior), India. He has received the ‘Highly Commended Paper Award’ from Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence-2016. He has been conferred the ‘Best Paper’ award in several International Conferences, including the International Conference of Society of Operations Management 2019. He was recognized as top seven researchers in the area of humanitarian supply chain management in 2018. He has co-authored a book titled “Think New Think Better: Select Cases on Entrepreneurship”. His research articles have been published in various journals of national and international repute, including Production Planning and Control, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Telematics and Informatics, Neural Computing and Applications. His research areas include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Humanitarian Logistics, Application of IT in Business, and Sustainable Supply Chain Management.

Dr. Vernika Agarwal holds the position of Associate Professor in operations at Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka, New Delhi, India. Her expertise spans diverse domains including green supply chains, circular economy, sustainability, cross-disciplinary research in supply and operations management, optimization, reverse logistics, and empirical research. Having earned her doctorate in operations and supply chain management from the Department of Operational Research at the University of Delhi in 2019, she has an impressive record of many research papers featured in esteemed national and international journals, as well as presentations at various conferences. She has been conferred the ‘Best Paper’ award in several International Conferences. Her scholarly impact is underscored by her recent publication in Business Strategy and the Environment (Impact factor: 13.4) and a significant presence in ABDC listed journals. Notably, she serves as the Guest Editor for a Special Issue on “MSME’s Resilience and Performance: COVID-19 Perspective” in Benchmarking (Emerald) – ABDC-B. Adding to her accomplishments, she has authored a book titled “Lean and Green Manufacturing – Towards Eco-Efficiency and Business Performance,” featured in the Management and Industrial Engineering book series by Springer. Currently, she has more than 50 SCOPUS indexed publications.

Dr Sunil Sharma is a Professor at the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, Delhi in the area of Operations Management for the last 34 years. He is an M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and Ph.D in. Total Quality Management from FMS, University of Delhi. He specializes in TQM and Supply Chain Management in which areas he has presented papers and chaired sessions at many international and national conferences including at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IEOM Conference in Indonesia and Assumption University, Thailand etc. He received UGC National Research Award in 2003-05 to work on Supply Chain Management Practices in India based on which he published a book from Oxford University Press.
He got Dewang Mehta award for best Teacher in Operations Management in 2011. He also received Prof Y.K. Bhushan Most Influential Professor Award at Mumbai in 2022. He has published three books and a number of papers in reputed national and international journals. He completed ITP (International Teachers Programme) at Kellogg School of Management, USA in 2010.He also participated as a group leader at a Global Colloquium of Participant Centered learning held at Harvard Business School, USA.in 2013. He has been associated with Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors of Government of India as Chairperson of Social Impact Assessment Group. He is Chairperson of the Management Development Programs (MDPs) at FMS, University of Delhi. He is on Research Jury of NIFT, New Delhi. He is on board of studies and Faculty board member in a number of institutions including Aligarh Muslim University, Central University of Jammu and Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) etc.
