Azhar Al Kindi
Chief Operating Officer (COO) at EDO
- With over 24 years of outstanding experience in the Energy and Green Technology/Solutions sectors, Azhar brings a wealth of expertise and strategic leadership to our organisation.
- Azhar is a seasoned senior executive with a distinguished career spanning supervisory to executive roles. His journey has been marked by transformative achievements that have consistently delivered impactful process improvements, implemented business reforms, and identified risk mitigation strategies, all contributing to bottom-line profitability.
- Azhar has successfully led notable initiatives in various organisations, showcasing his versatile leadership. Prior to joining EDO, he served as the COO & Deputy CEO at Petrogas E&P, International, overseeing businesses in Oman, Netherlands, UK, Denmark, and Egypt. His extensive experience includes pivotal roles at Shell, where he served as the Regional Functional Manager in Australia, played a crucial role in Shell E&P’s Americas division, and led significant projects in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.
- His distinguished career is marked by his skilful cultivation of vital partnerships, utilising internal strengths and external networks to bolster market standing and drive growth. An advocate of mergers and acquisitions, he empowers businesses for enduring success. His innate ability to foster competitiveness within organisations has garnered accolades. At the same time, his commitment to safety and operational excellence is showcased through incident-free operations in the North Sea and Oman over multiple years.
- Moreover, Azhar’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom. He has incubated several start-ups, demonstrating his commitment to fostering innovation and supporting entrepreneurial endeavours.
- A strong educational foundation underpins Azhar’s journey. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physics from Durham University, United Kingdom. Additionally, he has undertaken selective MBA modules and received professional training in leadership, business, health, safety, environment, technical aspects, economics, and commercial practices)
Mustafa Al-Balushi
Vice President of People & Culture at OQ
- Mustafa Al-Balushi is currently the Vice President of Corporate Continuous Improvement, Planning and Performance at OQ, brings wealth of experience and leadership to the field of Continuous Improvement, Change Management and Transformation. He holds Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from SQU and Masters in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Warwick University in UK. He is Certified Master Balck Belt in Lean & Six Sigma.
- Al-Balushi currently spearheads the establishment of Corporate Continuous Improvement Strategy, ensuring its effective implementation across various strategic business units. He also serves as Acting Vice President for Culture, Brand and Communication, contributing his expertise in driving Culture Transformation, Corporate Social Investment, and Corproate Brand & Communication. Mustafa is a Chairman in Continuous Improvement Sub group in Dubai Quality Group since 2023. He is a seasonal professional dedicated to promote Excellence and Continuous Improvement across sectors.
