IEOM Society International is organizing the 2nd GCC International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, Muscat, Oman, December 1-3, 2024. It is hosted by Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). Venue is Hormuz Grand Muscat, A Radisson Collection Hotel. The conference aims to provide a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
Authors can submit full paper(s) or abstract(s) only. Authors MUST use the conference template to prepare papers or abstracts. IEOM Society encourages to submit full paper(s). All full papers will be subjected to double peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings. Any submission implies that an author will present at the conference.

IEOM Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Each paper must present a significant research contribution, encompassing:
- Motivation of the Research: Clearly state the relevance of the research and its importance within the field.
- Problem Statements and Objectives: Identify the specific problem(s) addressed and outline clear, measurable objectives.
- Literature Review: Provide a comprehensive review of relevant research to establish the context and background.
- Data: Describe the data sources, collection methods, and any preprocessing steps undertaken.
- Methods: Detail the methodologies used, including the rationale behind their selection.
- Results: Include both numerical and graphical results, effectively presenting key findings.
- Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis Tests: Perform appropriate statistical tests to validate findings, presenting results with proper interpretation.
- Research Validation: Demonstrate that each objective has been met through quantitative or qualitative analysis, confirming the reliability of the results.
- Technical Writing Quality: Ensure the paper is well-written, free from spelling and grammatical errors, and follows a clear, logical structure.
Each paper and its abstract must strictly adhere to the IEOM Template for consistent formatting, including fonts, headings, and layout.

Biographies
Nasr Al Hinai is an associate professor and the Head of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He received his M.Sc. from the Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Aerospace Engineering, UMIST, UK in 2003 and his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba, Canada, in 2011, in Industrial Engineering. He joined SQU in 2001 after completing his B.Eng. His research interests lie in the area of production planning and control, metaheuristics in operations research, product design and development, project management, and analysis of bio-composites development processes. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.
Hakan Gultekin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. He earned his B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Türkiye, and completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Liege, Belgium. He has received various awards and recognition, including the Best Teacher Award in 2023, Project Performance Awards in 2015 and 2019, and the Young Researcher Career Development Award from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society, the Operational Research Society of Türkiye, the European Chapter on Combinatorial Optimization (ECCO), and the EURO Working Group on Project Management and Scheduling. His research interests include scheduling, optimization modeling, and the development of exact and heuristic algorithms, particularly for problems in modern manufacturing systems, energy systems, transportation and logistics, and communication systems.
Ahad Ali is an Associate Professor and Director of Industrial Engineering Programs (BSIE & MSIE), Director of Graduate Certificate in Lean Six Sigma at A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical, Robotics and Industrial Engineering of the Lawrence Technological University (LTU), Southfield, Michigan, USA. He established Siemens Electro-Matic Industrial Engineering Lab at LTU. Dr. Ali was the primary author of the ABET self-study report of the BSIE Program at LTU in 2022. He earned BS in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, Masters in Systems and Engineering Management from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. Dr. Ali was Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez, Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Toledo and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Khulna. He received an Outstanding Professor Award of the Industrial Engineering Department, University of Puerto Rico -Mayaguez. He has published 60 journal and 150 conference papers. Dr Ali conducted research projects with Chrysler, Ford, DTE Energy, New Center Stamping, Whelan Co., Delphi Automotive System, GE Medical Systems, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, International Truck and Engine Corporation (ITEC), National/Panasonic Electronics, and Rockwell Automation. His research interests include quality, lean six sigma, simulation, artificial intelligence, supply chain, optimization and manufacturing systems. He supervised 11 doctoral students. Dr. Ali has involved with many international conference committees. He is the Founder of IEOM Society International and serving as an Executive Director. Dr. Ali serves as a Conference Co-Chair of the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management and organized events in Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Bali, Dubai, Orlando, Detroit, Rabat, UK, Bogota, Paris, Washington, DC, Pretoria, Bangkok, Pilsen, Toronto, Costa Rica, Sao Paulo, India, Riyadh, Manila, Melbourne, New Delhi and Sydney. He is a member of IEOM, INFORMS, SME and IEEE.
Don Reimer is a Chief Operating Officer of the IEOM Society International, Michigan, USA. He is the managing member of The Small Business Strategy Group, L.L.C and serves as an adjunct professor at Lawrence Technological University. Mr. Reimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Detroit/Mercy. He has been recognized as a professional management consultant with over 45 years of experience in working with closely-held businesses. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, management and corporate entrepreneurship and innovation for engineers. Mr. Reimer served as member of the Minority Economic Development Committee of New Detroit. He has served as a KEEN Fellow for The Kern Family Foundation. He is member of the Lawrence Tech Alumni Board of Directors and has elected a Fellow of the IEOM Society International. Mr. Reimer is a faculty advisor of the Student Chapter of the IEOM Society at Lawrence Tech.
