Bryan Jay O. Capistrano is a Senior Process Engineer at the Production Engineering Department, Manufacturing Division of Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. He began working in the manufacturing industry in 2006 as a Production Operator with Hoya Glass Disk Philippines Inc., in the semiconductor sector. In 2011, He also worked on Construction projects such as Philippine Arena and Uptown Mall BGC. In 2013, He finished his Internship as an Engineer Intern at Pacific Paint (BOYSEN) Philippines Inc. and United Laboratories Inc. (UNILAB). And in 2014, He start working for Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation and involves in various engineering projects locally and abroad. Engr. Capistrano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Management (MSIEM) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Santa Mesa, Manila, Philippines. Currently, His work focused on Project Management, Process improvement through Automation, Robotics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) applications in the manufacturing environment. Engr. Capistrano has authored and published peer-reviewed research related to the manufacturing industry. He also received an award for winning 1st place in Master Thesis Competition Award at the IEOM 2nd South American Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil April 2021 from the Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society International.

He is also a faculty member at Miriam College’s Higher Education and is an active executive volunteer and board member of EVFI (Entrepinoy Volunteers Foundation Inc). Marc was previously General Manager and Head of Process Excellence at Cognizant, Vice-President and Head of Process Improvement at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Senior Process Engineering Manager at Dell International Services Philippines, and Quality Engineering Manager at Intel Philippines. Marc is a Lean Six Sigma professional with over 20 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma (deployment, implementation, training, mentoring, and coaching), Innovation, Process Improvement and Transformation, Quality Management, and Project Management in Business Process Outsourcing, Banking and Financial Services, and Semiconductor Manufacturing. He earned his Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from Arizona State University. He also completed his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management certification at the University of California Irvine and Mastering Design Thinking from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Marc received his MBA from the Asian Institute of Management and has a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of the Philippines. He is currently a doctoral candidate at California Southern University with a concentration in Project Management and Process Improvement. Marc received the Joanna & Richard Sosnowski Award from the Mu Delta Mu International Honor Society in Business in 2022.

Topic: Leading a Culture of Innovation in Healthcare through Lean Six Sigma 4.0
Teresa is a PhD student on Business Leadership at the Ateneo School of Management. She also received the Gold Honor MBA Award from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and Regis University, USA, and Superior Performance Award at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). She is a graduate of Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines. For more than 24 years, she worked for San Miguel Corporation (SMC), the Philippines’ premier food and beverage company, where she led the design and application of pioneering and innovative solutions on Customer Experience, Customer Relationship & Knowledge Management, Business Process Improvement, and Outsourcing in the various businesses of SMC such as Beer, Food, Telco, Corporate, and IT Services. For over eight years in TMC, she successfully implemented innovative and disruptive solutions in healthcare as head of CILL and of Network Quality Management. Driven by her passion for lifelong learning, she completed certification courses on: Disruptive Innovation from Harvard Business School; Innovation Management & Design Thinking from HEC Paris; Data Science/Data Visualization, Change Management, and Strategic Planning from eCornell University; and Healthcare Operations Management, University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. She won 1st Prize in the International Benchmarking Award for TMC in Dubai during the Global Benchmarking Competition in 2015. The benchmarking study presented in Dubai was accepted by the scientific committee of World Health Organization (WHO), Vienna for presentation during the WHO Conference at Yale University in 2016.

Dr. Abdul Talib Bon is Professor of Production and Operations Management in Department of Production and Operations Management at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He has a PhD in Manufacturing, which he obtained from the Universite de La Rochelle, France. He studied Business Administration major in Quality Management at the master’s level in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for which he was awarded the MBA. He’s bachelor degree and diploma in Mechanical Engineering which his obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He received his postgraduate certificate in Mechatronics and Robotics from Carlisle, United Kingdom. He is Director of Teaching Factory since 1 September 2016. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has had over 33 years experiences of teaching in higher learning education. In UTHM, he teaches Industrial Engineering and Project Management at the under-graduate and postgraduate level. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has multidisciplinary research interests that encompass industrial engineering, forecasting and Green Supply Chain management. His completed 25 research grant projects as project leader and research member. He has supervised more than 120 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He has served as a reviewer for a number of industrial engineering, engineering management and computer science conferences and journals as part of his expertise sharing initiatives. He had published more than 400 Journals and Proceeding Scopus Indexed and 10 books. He is also Fellow and President of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society (IEOMS, Malaysia), Global Council member of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society (IEOMS Global),

Dr G. Gopalakrishnan is basically a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai; a Gold Medalist from the Calcutta University for his Master’s degree and holds two Ph.D.s – one from Calcutta University and another from IIT, Madras /RWTH, Aachen, Germany. He has been a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at IIT, Madras. He is a former Vice Chancellor, Rector and currently Provost of Dr MGR Educational & Research Institute, Chennai, India.
He has published Four books in Engineering (Turbomachinery) and also has to his credit around 65 papers at various Conferences, Seminars, and also in listed journals, all in “Centrifugal Turbomachines” and on “Student Psychology”. He has been involved in promoting OBE as a faculty member in his University.
Of late he has been into accreditation of engineering colleges and Universities and was also a Chairman of the Board of Assessors of some Universities under the NAAC, till recently. He has been expounding the philosophy of Outcome Based Education, through some of his lectures at various institutes. He is a Fellow of the IET (UK) and the IEI (India).
