Train (Public Transport)
- From Sydney Airport (both Domestic & International stations), catch a train to Wolli Creek.
- At Wolli Creek, transfer to the South Coast Line heading south (towards Port Kembla, Dapto, Kiama or Bomaderry).
- Get off at Wollongong Station (or North Wollongong Station for UOW/central city) – University of Wollongong
- Free bus rides in Wollongong
- Duration: ~1 hr 30 min to ~2 hrs (depending on connection times)
- Cost: ~AUD 25-35 with an Opal card or contactless payment
- Frequency: Trains run roughly every 30–60 minutes
- Train stations are right at the airport — follow signs to Airport Station.

IEOM Society International is organizing the 5th Australian Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Wollongong, Australia during November 24-26, 2026. The conference aims to provide a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. Authors can submit full paper(s) or abstract(s) only. Authors MUST use the conference template to prepare papers or abstracts. IEOM Society encourages to submit full paper(s). All full papers will be subjected to double peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings and indexed. Any submission implies that an author will attend IEOM 2023 Australia Conference and present the paper or abstract. SELECTED PAPERS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN IJIEOM (International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management).
