Travel

The city of Windsor is conveniently located for attendees.

  • Ontario Highway 401 runs almost directly to the University.
  • Windsor airport offers service by Air Canada, WestJet, Porter, Flair, and provides direct flights to Toronto, Toronto-City, Calgary, Vancouver, and Halifax.
  • Via Rail service is available in the city. You can get a train from Toronto airport. It is pretty comfortable.
  • Via bus – you can get bus from Toronto airport to Windsor, very convenient.
  • Proximity to Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) for USA and other international guests (who have USA visa already) with airport shuttle available. You can use Greyhound bus or other airport transfer services to go to Windsor from DTW. Please plan ahead.
  • Driving from the USA: The University of Windsor, situated next to the Ambassador Bridge, offers easy access for IEOM World Congress participants traveling from the U.S. Delegates can conveniently reach the venue through either the bridge or the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel.

IEOM Society International is organizing the 2nd World Congress on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Windsor, Ontario, Canada during October 14-26, 2025. The conference will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital manufacturing transformation, with the theme: “Emphasis on AI & Digital Supply Chains in Global Uncertainty.” The three-day event at the University of Windsor will serve as a platform for students and professionals to engage with leading academics, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe. Key focus topics include: Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and Digital Twins, IoT, simulation, data analytics, and automation, interdisciplinary advanced manufacturing, and global and local supply chain transformation.

The conference will provide an opportunity for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and explore recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration, and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.

Technical Tours

Potential technical tours include:

  • Stellantis Windsor Assembly Plant, opened in 1928 and currently producing Chrysler Pacifica, Voyager, and Grand Caravan minivans. More than 10 million minivans have come through the Windsor plant.
  • Hiram Walker and Sons established their distillery in Windsor in 1858 and now host the JP Wiser Experience Centre. Since the 1980s, J.P. Wiser’s Whisky has been distilled and bottled at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery, with the largest distillery capacity in North America, producing 60% – 70% of all Canadian whisky.
  • Stellantis/LG Energy Lithium-Ion Battery Production Plant (map) – under construction – planned to be operational in 2024, annual production capacity in excess of 45 gigawatt hours.
  • The Henry Ford Museum, Ford Rouse Factory Tour and Greenfield Village (map) is the largest indoor–outdoor museum complex in the United States
  • The organized tours of the local vineyards and breweries promise a fun day out
  • The Detroit Zoo (map) spans 125 acres and houses more than 2,000 animals and more than 245 different species
  • Point Pelee national park is located at the southernmost point of mainland Canada, and is the traditional home of Caldwell First Nation – take the ferry to Pelee Island, the largest island in Lake Erie

Authors can submit full paper(s) or abstract(s) only. Authors MUST use the conference template to prepare papers or abstracts. IEOM Society encourages to submit full paper(s). All full papers will be subjected to double peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings and indexed. Any submission implies that an author will present the paper or abstract either virtual or oral presentation based on the situation.

Limit 3 papers per registration with a maximum of two additional papers (Each additional paper – $150)

  • For three papers with the professional member rate is $550 + $150 + $150 = $850 (one paper with your registration and fees for two additional papers).
  • For two papers, the student non-member rate is $300 + $150 = $450. (one paper with your registration and one additional paper fee).

If co-authors are attending the conference, they must register individually with a full registration under the appropriate category—student or professional. Co-authors cannot attend the conference under an additional paper fee. Only one author can present multiple papers for the addition papers.
